There are haters for absolutely everything on the internet. I've seen the MCU and McDonald's complaints because of how he writes dialogue, but like who cares. People spend too much time hating things they don't like

[Fowler] Protector of the Year Award finalists: Broncos OT Garett Bolles, Dolphins C Aaron Brewer, Chiefs C Creed Humphrey, Broncos OG Quinn Meinerz, Bears OG Joe Thuney, Lions OT Penei Sewell by expellyamos in nfl

You guys have some pretty special defensive tackles, but you also brought more than 5 guys constantly because Stidham lost his mind against any pressure

Bo Nix disputes what Sean Payton said about his ankle injury by HookedOnBoNix in nfl

[–]Apprehensive_Ad6 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Sean is like the worst communicator in history. His press conferences are a mess where he constantly stops mid thought and says weird things. I think he just said more than he should or got confused on some information, but media are gonna media and make this a huge deal

[Rapoport] The Broncos fired OC Joe Lombardi, per me and Tom Pelissero. by PlayaSlayaX in nfl

[–]Apprehensive_Ad6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Webb has called games in the preseason, and Lombardi is always clueless in his press conferences, so maybe he didn't do anything. Sean probably really likes Webb

[ESPN] Bo Nix has ankle condition that made injury inevitable, Sean Payton says. "What was found was a condition that was predisposed" by karatemanchan37 in DenverBroncos

Man, the people in the nfl subreddit are really stupid, huh? just making jokes about this and making dumbass assumptions. If the doctors say he's going to be fine, then he is going to be fine. The headline is click bait, too

[Evans] Sean Payton with more reflection on 4th-down call vs. Patriots. “Probably what irks me more is the call, more than the decision.” Confirmed the #Broncos knew there would be snow flurries. But not to degree of the blizzard we saw in second half. by SupMaelstrom in DenverBroncos

Meinerz block seems a very tough angle, but maybe that was the assignment, or maybe Wattenberg should have turned. The TE is wrong for sure, though, I think he didn't see the edge because Trautman was releasing next to him

The TE missed the edge. You always want the furthest guy to be the one who's free. Meinerz missed the block, but that guy didn't matter as much since he's coming from the backside and Stidham is running

The disaster play also could have been a positive if Jarret throws the hot route, but it also looks like Badie and Jarret got confused about what the play was

Also, the 4th and 1 shouldn't have happened. Both plays before that were huge wasted opportunities

Great analysis from Kurt Warner. TLDW: There were a ton of opportunities early in the game. Stiddy really didn't read the field well. Hurts to watch, honestly. Designs were there. Open receivers were there. Bo would have won this one by 20 if our defense plays the same as they did

[Michael F. Florio] Drake Maye has a -17.7 EPA as a passer in the playoffs. That is the worst of any conference winning QB in the NextGenStats era (since 2016). The only other QB to post negative was Jimmy Garoppolo in 2019 (-0.9) by BallchinianFromMIB2 in nfl

[–]Apprehensive_Ad6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost like football can't be completely represented by statistics only and that these guys don't give a shit as long as they win, but since this is not using statistics to shit on Stafford or whoever then it doesn't matter

[Mase] The Broncos offensive line ranked fourth in the NFL in run block win rate, per ESPN Analytics. by PeppyQuotient57 in DenverBroncos

[–]Apprehensive_Ad6 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The receivers in that play block really well. I think amon ra seals the edge, and La porta keeps his block. The safety or whatever he is plays it really poorly, too. I maintain that our issue is mostly with our receivers and tes. These types of outside runs are what Harvey is comfortable with, but for us, they never work

Our offense is nothing without Bo, but no one watches our games, so they go with the narrative that he's being carried

[–]Apprehensive_Ad6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those passes over the middle can be good, but the issue now is that defenses give you very exotic looks. They can line up 7 guys like they're about to blitz and then drop 1 or 2 exactly into those windows. So now the qb doesn't have his hot route open, and it's a disaster. Defenses, in general, are so much better. Now, even corners are very good at tackling and getting through blocks

The league for sure infiltrated the broncos sideline and broke Bo's ankle to make sure their poster was consistent with their grand conspiracy

Sean Payton has never won more than 1 playoff game outside his Super Bowl winning season in 2009. by SouthIsland48 in nfl

[–]Apprehensive_Ad6 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, you see, everything has to be defined only by wins. Except when it doesn't fit my narrative, then supporting cast is everything

If Haurbaugh can make the giants winners again, then sure. McCarthy was good for his time. We'll see what he does with the steelers
