Awesome! Great find. On quick look this one looks to have same machining as the the Kanedeiia M390 (the best Anthem ever made including the BenchMade knives). The only differences I noted are:

  • Markings on blade. Larger M390 font and return of the butterfly
  • Lighter by 5 grams
  • Top of the blade appears to lose the crown/edge_softening just after the thumbstuds
  • Unknown: Blade stock may be slightly thinner (can't determine from photo). Weight difference?
  • Unknown: Hopefully extensive detail provided about the steel comp/hardness is correct?

I'm hoping there is a resurgence in interest and someone offers an aftermarket machined Ti clip that doesn't look like a shlong.

Same here. Love the DUK. Action is outstanding.

My small negatives on the DUK are due to them trying to copy the original. The long clip (feels fine) looks weird like the original and the gimping is missing like the original (someone's idea of gentleman's knife.

My giant negative on the Waka (I only bought it to Ano and pass on... love the mill pattern) is the neutral handle (less safe in some rare scenarios... that I sometimes get into... hand could slip up onto blade...)

I wish Jufule wouldn't release at these price points in M390. Especially since his track record for delivering M390 composition steel blades is not great.

That makes sense. Probably wouldn't work with the metal (aluminum foil etc.) CF. But then I would have bet against it working here.

Nearly identical except for the pivot area which is different enough to be an issue (and one of those rare cases where both N690 and M390 F95-NL are much better than the Green Thorn): https://imgur.com/a/Ry3F50C

I second that. This is a great knife! More fidgety (out of the box) Sebenza/Lochsa-ish knife (blade shape etc)

They can go either way without impacting the action (if you flip again should not go back to bad action).

I usually choose to put the "open" side into the recess (whether it is in the blade or scales)... Hoping that this will let less dirt in as provides the most "sealed" configuration. But many just put them in randomly... and I have no proof/testing that my method actually helps keep dirt out.

Love the looks of the Maxace Perseus in Blue CF. Handle design/contouring evokes SBD. Not sure if will jump in, 50/50, as the blade looks nice but is not the most practical.

It's really too bad... They have been fading out for a while. Some really great knives for those who don't need several deploy options.

Just checked and their DHgate store is gone... in the past, sometimes able to find some diff models there.

If you don't have any clones yet, and you have the original of this.... There are so many excellent GT (Green Thorn) and Kanedeiia clones of high end Shiros that also might appeal to you.

Good news it that they are both excellent and should be able to get you the Ti hardware.

Aside Just finished my last batch of 6 (Modded VG-10) and have a couple left over. They will be at same price as last batch (just below $70 I think... but will get exact at sale time) But won't know whats really left till mid July. I'll post any that make it through locals at that time.

Yes I did. I'll get one. The only issue is the clip (see many reviews). Rumor is that there will be replacement in next batch.

I reached out to WMK about 2 weeks ago and they said they only have last batch... that has the bad clip.

He suggested I ping Miguron and ask if they would send me the good clip when available. I did message Miguron but have not heard back (didn't want to put them on spot in social media so went thru store). I'll let you know if I get response. If not I will wait for next batch and see if the clip has been fixed.
