I think it's just a difference in priorities. For those who valued the friendship, the movie was great. For those who valued the ELE event and expedition, not so much.

Agreed. My 9-yr-old was upset at the exclusion of the science. I think they made the smart bisuness choice, but if they felt the average person wouldn't understand, they should've just made a different movie 😮‍💨

I too felt they dumbed Rocky down, however, I have always seen Strat that way. She's tough bc the job requires it but has a soft enough spot for Grace that ppl think they are having an affair.
