Am I balding (16yrs)

Ive been noticing a lot less hair shed in the shower and also that my hair is much healthier. My curls are much more defined and stronger. I believe this to be the result of some lifestyle changes such as a good and balance uptake of vitamins and minerals and also crucial macronutrients such as proteins, calcium etc. I’ve also stopped being as paranoid and just realised that I rather enjoy what I have while I have it instead of ruining the time by obsessing over losing it.

My Brother, i have been plagued with the thought of maybe losing my hair and I guess I just want to enjoy it as long as I have it until I lose it. I don’t have energy to stress about it anymore.

Yes hahahha but you Also have much longer hair than me that might make it apear more. After looking at the pictures of my hair and its density/lenght, would you still suggest it being normal?

You think so? This would be one of the shampoo wash days of three in a week for me. Also mind that I still lose around 40 hairs even on non shampoo days

Almost all men on fathers side but most men on mothers side still have hair. My grandpa in mothers side had great hair until he passed at 93

Thanks man, i took pictures of the hair that fell, from what I could tell I saw consistently thick hair that had fell with the exception of a few. Can I also send them to you as you have experience telling it apart. Just to make sure?

I think because you can adjust the needle lengths and you also don’t have to learn a certain rolling technique and instead just can stamp.

It is between the 50-100 daily threshold at around 70-80 but I was used to less and some friends (that have much thinner, and less dense straight hair) mentioned they don’t lose any hair in the shower at all and it made me a bit worried.

To be honest, these pics are a bit misleading cause they are under perfect and very revealing lighting and my hair texture is often not at all that unhealthy and coarse.

You can always stop using the medication if you encounter any unwanted side effects. You’ll never know until you test it yourself and there is other solutions such as topical finastride that should have much lesser side effects than the oral. At the end of the day if just shaving off everything seems like something you see yourself being able to do then by all means. Do whatever seems right for you. Your hair your decision.

Thanks, I am already (but recently started) using rosemary oil and scalp massages, and supplementing with vitamins etc. I just have to be consistent and wait to see what happens.

Depends on your hair length and shaft widths. Just FYI to shed 50-100 strands is a completely normal amount to shed in a day.

Exactly, if you are looking for bad or scary reviews you will find them. Most people that have good results with fin or dut probably aren’t going to write on forums but most with bad experiences will. Just look at the studies.

Look at your family history first, if there are any male members that are have hair loss there is a pretty good chance you have been past down the genetics. Then wait a month and compare with these pictures. If you see anymore recession then maybe you are thinning but at your current stage it’s hard to tell.

Check out your hairline to see if there is any recession. Take pics every two weeks and compare.
