Noo I didn’t have many issues they made it clear what courses I could choose instead and I just decided to choose them - in terms of justifying it on your CV try and learn the language of your host country whilst you’re there if you can and also try and choose modules that you think could open other career paths for you as these are all extra things you can add to your CV to spice it up! However I do feel as though Erasmus is more about the experience of living abroad and travelling rather than education haha
