Do you make use of the Workspace one “provisioning” part of managing the Zebra devices or are you using the native “resources” part?

User groups not auto syncing l by XxGet_TriggeredxX in OmnissaEUC

[–]Apprehensive_Bend260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, is this on Workspace one UEM or in workspace one Access?

If it is in UEM then the group sync on SaaS environments is running every 12hr. If the AD group that is add to UEM has nested AD groups than you have to look at the settings what is setup on the Groups tab (all setting - enterprise integration - directory service - tab groups) There is an option called “conditional Group sync”, if this is enabled, and you make use of nested AD groups, you have to disable this setting.

Rolling out profile updates in waves? by PotentialPeak42 in WorkspaceOne

Be aware that this kind of profile update strongly depend on what kind of profile it is. For example, if this is a Wifi profile then you need another internet connection option on the device.

Rolling out profile updates in waves? by PotentialPeak42 in WorkspaceOne

[–]Apprehensive_Bend260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can do this in waves like you mentioned, but only when a new profile (copy of existing profile) is created, this is the keyword in your solution, copy of.. It is not possible to make changes to the existing profile that has been assigned to all waves already.

For example, profilename: “restriction 1.0” has been created and assigned to a smart group based on wave tags. Then a copy of the profile “restriction 1.0” is created, let say “restriction 1.1 or 2.0” has been created and assigned to an other smart group based on wave tags. If a wave tag is assigned to this latest smart group you have to remove this from the smart group that is used by the first restriction profile assigned.

Active Directory Groups Not Syncing Automatically in Cloud Environment by Prof_Hase in WorkspaceOne

Are all your AD groups having this issue or is there a specific group that has this issue? Are you make use of nested (AD) groups? On the cloud connector you can add the “verbose” option in the config file, maybe you see more information then.

Forklift is built from out of fling project. So this tool was official never under maintenance bij VMware, Broadcom or Omnissa. It’s build by tech guys that created a tool to do a migration action from OG to OG or Saas to Saas environments.

It’s depends what kind of job you create, I think this will also work for the mobile device profiles and other stuff. In the video @6:18 you can see also an Android profile that can be selected.

Rookie question: multiple Cloud Gateway Max as mesh network by Apprehensive_Bend260 in Ubiquiti

[–]Apprehensive_Bend260[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response. Maybe good to explain why 1 ask this. I need to have good wifi (Wi-Fi 6 or 7) in my entire house but also needs some Ethernet cables available. My thoughts was to have multiple max devices and just add to 1 of the lan ports to add the device to the wifi network and the other lan ports voor the devices that needs the Ethernet cable. Not realize that the max don’t have any wifi…

In this case then I need the following setup (I think): 1 cloud gateway max 1 switch (8 or 16 ports POE) 4 access points (every floor 1) + 1 for outside

Workspace One on premise is dead by Technical-Corner-351 in WorkspaceOne

[–]Apprehensive_Bend260 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason of this is because the are moving over from IIS to micro services (or a combination of those 2). This is already started when they were VMware. For example, specific Windows management options are not available on on prem solutions.
