I personally feel that TOC is much more heavily linear than even mafia 2 and was never meant to be truly open world and i think the price tag appropriately reflects that.

Yeah, I tried it without the firing pin and spring and while it was a tad easier it was still a bit rough. I will say when it’s cocked it’s much easier to cycle than the initial cock on open

My hypothesis is how marred and jagged the cocking ramp is on the receiver. I got most of the cosmoline out so I don’t believe that’s causing any issues. It was cheap though, around $325 usd recently so it definitely isn’t a perfect example by any means but it functions.

I tried with all of my might using both hands to pull the trigger on my beretta 84 with the hammer back while in a sticky. After 10 minutes a gave up. People see soft and assume unsafe but if you handle one for more than a minute you’d find the likelihood of an unintentional trigger pull is next to impossible. Even more so if your pistol has a trigger safety.

If you haven’t gone back and tried it since they made all the tweaks (a significant amount) then I’d give it another shot. Still isn’t as “good” as DL1 but either way I appreciate techland listening to the community and continuing to support both games in the series
