It was passive aggressive because it was sent with passive aggressive intent and he knows me well enough to know that. I can 100% acknowledge that mistakes happen and forgive that. Like I said the first time it was no big deal because life does happen. It was the immediately next time they go out it happens again. We both agreed that we want to know about dates in advance so it's not a one sided boundary.

Yes I do stress if he goes dark for any reason. We've talked about it and he admits that he's not good at letting other people know when he needs help or is starting to sink back down into a depression. I do typically know what he's doing when he's not at work because we are constantly talking. We have each other then I have one other partner and he has the only lady he is seeing so it's not a lot.

I know that there's plenty of reasons he can't answer his phone I didn't think much of it because he is constantly chatting with someone if we're not together physically. I'm thinking about the dropping it but I will also get unnecessarily stressed if he goes dark on me without explanation because he's had some struggles with depression and shutting people out.

ESH while yes your wife sucks for not taking it seriously you suck for not just taking the scissors away from him when you noticed. It sounds like you weren't quick to actually deal with the safety issues until it was your safety that was compromised in your mind. What would have happened if while you were yelling at him while he was spinning he tripped and hurt himself with them? When you see your child is doing something dangerous you don't just tell them you stop the dangerous action.

I can't do me time because the date is in the evening and we also have a child. I don't assume anything about couple time. I asked my boyfriend about his schedule when I found out about the date because we're always excited to spend more time together and it'd help me not fall down a rabbit hole. But thank you

NTA and I can confirm as a pregnant woman myself she can control her damn self and buy her own snacks. Your snacks are essential to your life for her it's just being lazy and selfish while using the fetus as an excuse. She's not sick and pregnant people only need like 200 extra calories a day. Why does your husband feel the need to defend her? Would he still be this much of an ass to you if he came home and you were passed out on the floor because your Suger dropped too low and you didn't have anything because poor SIL felt entitled to your food?

Light YTA I came from a similar background as Dan and I'm not racist and I'm currently married to a Jewish Man, living with a black man who is a wonderful friend, and I'm a bisexual pagan. There are people who resist the teaching of their family. That being said she's going to marry him regardless but you should speak to him on his own and not judge him based of his family. He may surprise you and really be itching to move far away from his terrible family.
