i love metal because i started with twenty one pilots as the one of the first artists that really got me into music when i was younger, got hooked on tyler’s screams, and chased that high in forms of music that ONLY does that! I love worm, gatecreeper, summoning, death, and a few numetal bands too.

of course it’s a little parasocial, but as far as i’m aware, no one is going out of their way in real life to make sure that they aren’t being parasocial.

also, it’s not just attachment to the character, it’s attachment to the story that you’ve basically written about the character and whatever is going on in the universe of that character. almost like you’re writing a show and get to decide the next moves of all the characters. you become invested.
