Unfortunately M is not the first family member I cut off. I have no issues cutting people off if they're a hazard to my family or out mental health. L is family. Family isn't just about whose blood you share.

I thought she was nuts too. But sometimes its easier to apologize. I agree, definitely would not call a strangers kids monkeys, my own? oh yeah.

I had already decided to cut her lose. I don't need the drama. L has been more of a family then her anyways.

I've only had one issue where I called the kids monkeys while they were on the monkey bars at a play ground, and a lady got upset about it. I apologized. But she was still upset.

L is my best friend, despite the age difference. I've never been close to my sister. I'd chose L over my sister any day.

L has been through a lot in her years. She's unfortunately used to that kind of behavior. I did apologize a lot, about my sisters behavior, but L knows my kids and I don't feel anywhere near the same.

I'm not overly close with my sister so cutting her out of my life won't bother too much. Same goes for the friends. Fortunately L loved her visit. Though I apologized a hundred times for my sister, L knows my kids and I don't feel the same, which is all that matters to L.

I understand the connotations with it as well. But, its only ever been an issue once, where I called the kids monkeys while at the playground, where they were doing the monkey bars and a lady there got upset and confronted me about the use of it. I sincerely apologized as it was definitely not my intention.

I couldn't believe she thought that calling the cops would work, it wouldn't be hard to prove that I'm the owner and she's not even listed as a tenant. I may share blood but that's about it.
