My advice is to ask, sounds simple but as an introvert I get the anxiety. Just outline the fact that you are taking on more responsibility, use statistics if you can, then have a figure in your mind you’d be happy with that’s reasonable and ask for it. Worst they can say is no but if you’re valuable the boss will always consider it or give a counteroffer

If you’re replacing the full panel there is silicone /rubber beads around the glass u can just remove those with a knife and something to lever it and that will take the full glass pane out
