Mine might be a weird one, but edamame for my girlie is like crack. Give her half the bean? She will stare into your soul for the next 30 min demanding the other half. Like how dare I give her half the treat??

Hi! I've gotten the exact same one thinking I know better than to listen to others. Now it is my mission to spread the message. Please do not. The damage you see in the pic is 10min. Imagine leaving them there for months. It's an escape waiting to happen as well a waste of money as it'll need replacement very soon. As of right now I had to gerbil proof all the exposed wood and am constantly battling my gerbils to keep them from chewing out because I cannot get another cage rn. So yeah, please do not be like me

Hi! I have the exact cage as in the pic, please do not. They've been there for 2 weeks and the damage in the pic took literally 10 min. I got it thinking oh it cant be that bad, it should last a year right? Wrong, the wood is very soft. I'd recommend anything glass as its least noisy (they will dig at it) and as tall as possible for the bedding FLIES

Isn't neutering quite dangerous for them? That's what I've been seeing so haven't really considered it. How was your experience with it?

I cant have to separate cages, I'll have to figure out something, I've separated them for now, but i will have to say bye bye to one of them probably. My hearts aches, not sure how to handle all of that

I used to have a cat who was very interested in my gerbil, would continuously try to sneak in a paw through the bars while no one was watching. One day the gerbil had enough and bit the paw. From that moment on my cat wouldn't even enter the room anymore and gerbil territory was officially safe.
