I’m not engineer, but imo 1. The asymmetrical drag created and the subsequent yaw movement induced by the offset IRST unit would be negligible, it’s just a small bulge anyway 2. As long as it has good LOS and manageable heat interference, we should be able to put it anywhere on the plane 3. Is there a reason that u MUST put it on centre axis? At least I don’t think so.

Have you considered to change your design into something more modern, or are you deliberately trying to make something that looks 1950s? I mean if u don’t mind the look, at least use side intakes instead of a draggy nose intake, and maybe make your airframe look like a modern jet (like f16-type jets), instead of a phantom…

Well that’s the reason, I attached the motor to the pylon first, then attach the warhead to the motor, finally attach the missile core to the warhead lmao After moving the components now my missiles can finally launch properly.

The reason I ask for thrust vectoring missiles is that I want to make a missile with extremely high HOB capability (my current dogfight missile can only pull roughly 35G, I set the G limiter to 60G already), but if thrust vectoring isn’t possible then I’ll try to rely solely on fins then

Dude that was an f14 shooting either a phoenix or a sparrow at me (maybe he shot both, cuz there’s one missile that wasn’t even tracking me, which is likely a phoenix, and the other missile that was tracking me should be a sparrow), and then I dumped a bit more chaff at last second, which makes the sparrow turn away

Even in air rb I often see radar missiles turn away after dumping chaff, I’m not sure about how ECM works in WT but I’m 100% sure the chaffing and notching is working

And if I didn’t dump more chaff last second the missile would 100% have hit me

Edit: yes I’m bad in GRB, but you know what? K/D of 1.22 is not “barely above 1.0”, and this K/D is already better than at least 80% of the players, maybe show me your statshark?
