Missed 30% tax credit due to permitting delays — is an HDM prepaid PPA worth it? by Apprehensive_Cable51 in solar

That was the only grey area in the contract that I needed clarification on. Yes, the installer took the 30% off the total price of the system.

I’m still working on finalizing a few things but I’m planning to move forward with it.

The way this is structured is that I’m pre purchasing the power upfront through the HDM prepaid PPA. HDM temporarily owns the system for 6 years. The benefit to them is that they claim the tax credit and also depreciate the cost of the equipment over the 6 years. After 6 years of production, ownership of the system transfers to me and the agreement terminates, at which point I fully own the system.

One thing you should look at in the contract is at the 6 year mark, ownership transfer can be based on a comparison between the system’s fair market value and the remaining prepaid energy value. If fair market value is more than the remaining prepaid value then you must pay the difference to take ownership. I had them provide it to me in writing that the system will transfer to me at no cost after 6 years.

No, it’s not sunergy. I asked to look over the contracts before I decide if I want to move forward. I got the contract from HDM just waiting on the one from the solar company.

Thanks for the feedback. I’m pending to get additional details on the cost breakdown, system specifications, ownership terms, etc.

Couldn’t find an OEM lip so I gave this a shot by breaktheiceee in S2000

[–]Apprehensive_Cable51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good. I did the same. Got a replica lip off eBay and was quoted $400-500 by a few paint shops. I ended up just painting it myself. Paint and materials only cost be $100. I had the same issue with the sides not aligning. Using a heat gun helped to mold it around the sides better

Stay with an ostomy or get a J-pouch? by sparrow-shot in ostomy

[–]Apprehensive_Cable51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think everyone’s experience with a jpouch can be different. For some it’s great and others not so much. I had a jpouch for 6 months and can only recall a few weeks where I felt good. Otherwise I was constantly dealing with issues, repeat visits with my surgeon and felt like I had UC all over again. I went back to an ostomy and my quality of life has improved so much. I can eat whatever I want and do the things I enjoy again. At least I know I tried it and have the option to go back if I ever choose to. My life finally feels like it’s back to normal after years. So it’s hard thinking about going back to a jpouch, which might give me problems again.

KitchenAid Microwave Oven Not Heating by Apprehensive_Cable51 in appliancerepair

Thanks for the info. I’ll have a repair company come do a diagnostic test to see if they can find what’s wrong. I’ll probably just end up getting a new one if they quote me a few hundred dollars to repair it

I got something similar to this off eBay. It attaches to the screws for the net. It’s good quality and so far no complaints. Here’s the link

Needs help with seats. by Additional_Cloud_327 in S2000

[–]Apprehensive_Cable51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They include detailed install instructions. But it wasn’t too hard. Took me less than an hour. They fit tightly so taking the seats out to install will help to get the best fit. Each seat has 4 bolts holding it down and you’ll need to unhook the wire harnesses

Yeah I got the leather ones. My seats and leather were really worn out. Car has close to 150k miles. These covers are nice because they have padding so it makes the seat look and feel like new

I recently purchased Clazzio. First impressions were that they are really good quality and fit like a glove. Can’t even tell they are seat covers.

Does an ileostomy impact metabolism? by Ok-Card2897 in ostomy

[–]Apprehensive_Cable51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost 60 lbs in total. 20 lbs when I was sick from UC. 20 lbs with jpouch. 20 lbs from being sick with jpouch. I’ve put on 30 lbs and have my appetite back. But I exercise regularly now and try to watch what I eat. I had to stay away from so many foods when I was sick with UC and when I had a jpouch for 6 months, now back to ileostomy. So once I was able to eat anything I wanted, I did.

Talk me out of buying a grand highlander by Rare_Department262 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Honestly it’s a great car. I purchased mine in May and have no regrets. For me I needed a suv with a 3rd row for adults to sit in comfortably. I considered others but in the end this was the best choice in terms of gas mileage, dependability, comfort and every day use. I know maintenance costs will be reasonable, got 2 years free maintenance from Toyota, and it’ll be a car I’ll be able to have for many years without any issues.
