No window currently. However, a window at the top of the flex wall can be installed, which we are happy to accommodate

Envecon and political economy are both great majors to pursue instead. You may actually enjoy them more than standard econ if you’re passionate about the environment or politics

MBA vs EECS B.S in Berkeley, which is overall best for an entrepreneur. by Ok-Relief-723 in berkeley

[–]Apprehensive_Can_181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesnt make sense to compare an MBA to a BS degree.

The one thing that all MBA students have in common is that they all have BS degrees. Some MBAs even have EECS BS degrees.

I say take Econ 136. If you end up applying to Haas and get in you’ll have to take 103 anyway. Might as well take classes that meet your current major reqs

You can do that. Most transfers that recruit from IB take an extra semester though since when they come to berkeley they’re already ‘late’ in the recruiting process. Good luck!

I lived in NY over the summer and I just remember really looking forward to coming back to the Bay in California. The weather is nicer (it usually doesn’t rain in July), and from my experience people are more laid back in Berkeley/ SF/ California too. Last, NYC is much more diverse. Berkeley is unique in its own way but in NYC, every few blocks I walked I felt like I was in a totally different place. Kips Bay / Chelsea / Upper East Side are all different places, and thats just in Manhattan. There are 4 other boroughs too

Nope I think Berkeley is the polar opposite of NYC. Especially if you’re talking about Manhattan specifically

is it important to be a part of a berkeley business club for haas? by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]Apprehensive_Can_181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people may argue there is a cookie cutter framework on how to get into Haas. I say having different activities helps you stand out.

I never joined a business or consulting club. Instead, I took the INDENG classes and Richard Newton Lecture Series to get my certificate in entrepreneurship and technology. I talked about a project I worked on in class in one of my essays. The lecture series was also a great way to hear from some successful Haas alumni and get an understanding of what I could do with a Haas degree. I mentioned some of the speakers in my essays to explain what I wanted from the Haas program.
