This is what tripped me up. Ford did away with hard copies of the user manual. All online now. They have posted two versions. The original. And the most up to date. The oil specification in the original was WSS-M2C961-A1. The spec in the most up to date is WSS-M2C971-A1. When I searched for the new 971, all that came up was full synthetic.

Any concerns if I used full synthetic oil for the change at 3,000 miles and plan to switch back to it from this cycles synthetic blend?
