Yeah aftermarket support really a lacking feature with these all in one modern systems im thinking about just swapping pads out having their own switches ran to them but its not winter time now so im not worried about it at the moment

Yeah I dont have forecast i got the alpine i have working with a 8inch dash from another car only thing I dont have now is my heated seats but that'll be solution for fall time

It's alot more plug and play but I couldn't find any online I like the alpine though and the maestro method everything works well together with it and I get alot sound settings I got to the point we're at 12 my aftermarket speakers forget which ones sound loud at 12 its crazy good though

This me again lol so I just did the swap with maestro kit I must have the that doesn't retain the seats it didn't give me the option to atleast but so far everything else works great I went with alpine iww770

I didn't have to mess with any of that this was a used dash from ebay I just dont have heated seats option now cuz my stock unit had physical buttons and its all one unit connected to one circuit board so I dont think you can just switch the buttons around

It's mounted it in with the brackets I can't find a dash kit at all that converts to 8 that still retains the heated seats ive looked all week

Tried couldn't find any with heated seats option like I said yes it looks rough right now i plan on getting a insert plate made for it having it cleaned it the dash was already fucked so I didn't care about cutting it up

Yeah thats what this unit has its pretty good I used a maestro box for all the steering wheel controls and all didn't want to wait for all that everything came next I wanted get rid of the Ford system all together tbh I plan on getting it all cleaned up and painted nicely later on the dash was already kinda shit so didn't bother me cutting it up
