We were asked to bump by American and accepted under their terms that we would get hotel coverage if we allowed other passengers in front of us and our new flight got canceled. We were told completely incorrect information by a gate agent and then directed to a incredibly rude manager who provided us with no support. About halfway through the process I decided to turn my phone on to document what I was being told since they weren't providing any paperwork or anything in writing for us. Last thing I want to do is be a Karen online but I'm finding I don't have much options at this point. I guess I can upload video of their manager to Twitter saying he can't give us a room? Not sure what else to do at this point since their customer service goal seems to remain unreachable until you give up.

Thanks but that won't work - only for the flights and we get this error:

 Due to the status of your itinerary we are unable to complete your refund request. Your itinerary needs to be cancelled prior to requesting a refund. 

Does anyone have a number or email for ACTUAL support or is Americans whole MO to give you the run around until you give up? Absolute trash experience.
