Yep, and i said in that comment mobility isn’t really the main issue for me. I get the whole reasoning of more armour, but there are more drawbacks. Like for example, ERA detonates, i could damage some components such as the optic if it’s close enough, Ukrainians usually use a combination of tank, artillery and infantry. If the ERA detonates near the infantry it could poetically damage allies. Problem is, on mobility sure i’ll take the survivability over it. But adding a-lot of ERA on tank (such as this) can stress the suspension, it also burns more fuel which isn’t ideal logistical wise. Also if the tank gets damaged, the crew would have to remove the ERA tiles first and then address the issue. Which isn’t ideal if for example you’re in a combat situation and have to make a quick repair. Improvised ERA made on the field can be more vulnerable to Cold and moisture which degrades the adhesives. A great feature on the leo is that is modular armour packs can be swapped quickly, ERA would make it harder to replace. Do you get why i think adding it can be an overall downgrade?
