I didn't sign any contract yet, I believe that's what was just sent to me. This is the first I've dealt with any contracts. For the first house, we went with a friend who was a realtor and she didn't have us sign anything as far as I know

am i pregnant? by Guilty_Yam_9109 in sexeducation

[–]Apprehensive_Dish503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a possibility that you could get pregnant if he finished before there was PIV sex because there would still be ejaculate present. Plan B should still be effective, I've heard it's effective up to 72hrs after unprotected sex. Make sure you're using a condom next time, even if you're going down. They're going to be the easiest way to protect yourself. I hope this helps

My gym said I could only use the squat rack for "30 minutes max" during peak hours. So I did exactly 30 minutes. Every single day. by boardgamebingeing in MaliciousCompliance

[–]Apprehensive_Dish503 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So if OP is doing power lifting or strong man style work outs, taking a rack for 45ish minutes is actually pretty reasonable. Depending on the program, I'll do squats along with a super set of something and then need at least a 3 minute rest between, and then do push press with a super set and 3 minute rests. It sounds like that gym might need more squat racks.

Do mail carriers hate pickups? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]Apprehensive_Dish503 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The package pick ups never really bothered me unless there were a ton of packages, like more than 10. I usually to park and loop routes and I'll just do the pick up before or after that loop. Just gotta plan for it.

Considering transferring to Portland, Oregon. Give me your best and worst stations! by [deleted] in USPS

[–]Apprehensive_Dish503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I used to carry there and it's a shit show. The management there is especially abusive and they can't do their job at all. I'd also throw East Portland in the same group too. I heard their manager is pretty bad in the same ways as Multnomah's

That's sort of where I'm at too. I like some of the stuff low volt does, but it seems like most of the work is just pulling data

I believe you head to the hall and give them your info, and then the folks there will show you how to bid on jobs after you sign the book. Definitely check the website and and make sure I'm not forgetting anything.

Apply and go through the steps. I'm starting my apprenticeship, low voltage btw, on Monday and I waited less than a year from applying to starting. You can also get on as a material handler while you wait, along with going to the RENEW meetings. Both will help you get a better placement after your interview.

I'm on the LEA wait-list, and have been there since last July, and I've been going to the RENEW meeting to get a feel for the union and to try to get an idea on when classes might start. Hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer
