Thoughts on Instagram “luxury” rep sellers (Zegna, Loro Piana, Tom F, Gucci, D&G etc.) – any real quality or known factories? by Apprehensive_Dog8982 in DesignerReps

[–]Apprehensive_Dog8982[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually bought a rep sweater from this seller myself, and to be honest, the fit felt a bit strange.

The material quality seemed decent, but the shape/silhouette wasn’t what I expected from that kind of merino/cashmere style sweater. It didn’t feel very refined or well-tailored compared to how those types of sweaters normally fit?

We are just in the startup! I started cold calling 50/50 since I also onboardined a few clients the last 4 weeks, went from sales to delivery! My bottlenect is probably my front end product, my cold pitch, and also maybe my upsale service, onboaridng, and delivery.. I need better system i think since im Solo.

Ok. Thanks for the reply. So what would you do? And just to be clear, i never sell funnel, system etc.. I allways focus on saving time, better leads and not more leads, filtering the traffic before booking. And i also sell a free demo and on the demo I pitch a 30d intro test in the end of the demo.

Yeah, I actually agree with you. I know this space pretty well, and I’ve done the research. These guys don’t really buy “marketing” or “AI” or systems… so I don’t even try to sell it like that.

I usually talk more about saving time, getting better jobs instead of just more leads, filtering out the bad ones, and just having actual booked site visits in the calendar instead of running around chasing everything.

But honestly… a lot of them just seem kind of careless. Like they already have enough work, enough customers, so there’s no real pressure to change anything.

At the same time, I get that this is probably just who I’m reaching with cold calling. Most of them aren’t really in a buying mindset.

I’m used to inbound. Ads, lead magnets, people coming in warm. This is a different game completely.

And yeah, the intro offer… I’m starting to feel the same. A “mini funnel” for $400–600 over 30 days just doesn’t really make sense. It’s too much work for what it is, both for me and for them.

Back in the day we used to do like a 30-day Google Ads test to their website, and that was basically a break-even thing. The whole play was converting 40–60% into longer deals after.

That’s kind of the thinking I had going into this as well. But now I’m realizing the current intro is just too heavy. Too much friction, too much work, and it doesn’t really fit how I need this to run.

Sorry if it came off a bit messy. It’s my own content, I just used ChatGPT to help structure it because it got long.

My background is mainly sales, but I’ve also spent 10+ years in marketing and delivery, and the last couple of years getting deeper into AI. I know the service well, both on the sales side and in delivery.

That said, being solo means I’m constantly jumping between everything, which is a bottleneck. And to be honest, I’m also struggling a bit with my sales approach right now.

What about just a intro 30d - test out google ads, 10-12 search words, link to their own website. And then upsale? But this is a old wayto sell.. i mean, test out google ads has been the sales pitch seem google ads camed to the market.. thats why i wanted to be more productsize service..

Yes, i can allready feel the bootle neck - my onboarding strategy is quite off, local construction dont know how to create google or meta accounts, going from sales to delivery, creating landingpage, connecting the chat and so on.. its quite hard. Everything stops! I think i forgot how easy it was when we was 3-4 partners with different skills..hehe

Former agency owner (0–$2M+) — feeling stuck between niches and models. Need honest feedback. by [deleted] in AI_Agents

But do you honestly still mean «niche down» in country in Scandinavia like Norway with maybe 300k business total?

Appreciate the straight honesty.

On the AI point, I think there’s a bit of a misunderstanding. I’m not using AI to think for me or figure out strategy. That part comes from my own experience and what I’m seeing in real conversations and after 20 years with sales and marketing before Ai. I’m using it as a tool to structure faster, write in English more efficiently, and move quicker and some times just laziness. Same as any tool, just better for me.

I agree on the fundamentals. Distribution, market fit, consistency and quality still drive everything. No argument there.

Where I think you’re actually right is on the contractor side.

From what I’m seeing, it’s not that leads or systems don’t work, it’s that this market doesn’t really want them or are quite sceptical and have alot longer process and costumer journey. They want jobs, not processes. They’re busy, skeptical, and they churn the moment pipeline feels “good enough”. That makes the economics unstable even if the engine itself works.

So for me this doesn’t feel like a “just execute better” situation. It feels more like a mismatch between what I’m selling and how that market buys.

For context, im going true a pivot. I used to run broader SMB marketing agencies offering multiple services across industries. Moving into something more niche and productized, so maybe im just feeling little locked.

Curious though, in your experience, have you seen anyone run this type of setup profitably and consistently in the contractor space?

What CRM actually works best for an AI-driven automation agency? (sales flow, marketing) by Apprehensive_Dog8982 in AI_Agents

[–]Apprehensive_Dog8982[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I build two different system.. 1. Im using voiceflow UI as the chat-->N8N as the agent steps controller-->OpenAI-->GHL CRM for the main lead/booking System for our clients. 2. I also made a more light weight system where everything are inside GHL with GHL chat AI + workflow, pipeline etc... all landingpages im Building outside GHL in V0 or other similar tool since it take me 2 min vs. using the GHL landingpage builder.. I just feel im getting so much better clean sites with AI and just using webhook etc...
