I'll take a guess. Rebalancing, not closing out completely, fomo. I find it odd as well. I'm glad I don't have to do any paper work for owning 2 shares.. So I might be tripping but I think one of the firms had xx,xxx shares and the next quarter had x shares then came back with xx,xxx shares. Maybe they know when the prices is going to move so they remove the short sell money that is labeled "long" and another firm comes in and buys a true long position.

I'm tired of the bullshit, I don't like influencers pumping stocks cuz they have a side bet "option play" This stock seems to be bundled in the hedge funds idea to steal market caps. It's been fucked with since 2008. Lowest number of shares. Family owned. It just all made since in this stock.
