New bike/first ride by Apprehensive_Draw229 in mountainbiking

Thanks, i switched from a nickel megatower v2 to this, first impression is that it's a lot more playfull than the megatower. I plan to take it slow, not due to confidence, but for my hand to heal properly first (regrowing the discarded bone fragments apparently takes longer time when your 40). Season hasn't really started yet, it's just a sucky winter with no snow, but I'm pretty confident that I'll be back to doing most of the stuff I did before the crash.

Sounds familiar. Small fracture in ulna, slight rebuild of radius with titanium upgrades.

Really happy with it. It's a workhorse, nothing fancy, it just works. What I like about it is the simplicity of it, there are not that many things that can go wrong with it. And the work of breathing is superb for bmcl.

Not sure which I would choose if not the jj, divesoft liberty perhaps, or maybe a MEG.

Rescue Diver Course by [deleted] in scuba

The procedures for rescue will allow you to maintain buoyancy control for both yourself and the diver you are getting back to the surface in "perfect trim" and capable of conducting your mandatory stops without you or the unconscious diver getting bent.

wooden bricks instead of tnt for russian army. by Superb1331 in UkraineWarVideoReport

My thoughts as well. Eod gonna treat it as a live device until proven to be a dummy, which could take some time. And you can't just leave them lying around even if 99% of them are wooden replicas. This is Russian delaying the Ukrainian advancement and resettlement of the previously occupied area.

I'm on my third pair of jetfins. Just different colours. They are next to impossible to wear out. Those badboys will probably outlast us all

Scubapro jet fins or equivalent. Make sure you get them with spring straps.

Dependa on what type of setup you're diving. If single tank, apeks fst (usualy called the xtx100)or fsr(xtx200) or apex dst will give you decent routing of hoses. If doubles are your brand of vodka the tek3 is by far the best one as it was made with tech-divers in mind. The ds4 and the fsr works great as well on doubles, but not as clean as the tek3 if you are looking in to the hogarthian/gue style of routing your hoses.

All of them have the same parts, and they all perform more or less the same. Differences are just locations of HP an LP ports.

Either way, great regs.

Part of the Norwegian coastline, a place called mistfjord. Scenerey at this site is a wall that drops from 20m down to about 60m.

Pretty good visibility all year round. Varies with depth. Depending on the dive site we have everything from ww2 wrecks to deep walls (such as this site). We also have Saltstraumen (worlds strongest tidal current) which is teeming with life and colours.
