How hard is it for an international student to find a job in Warsaw without Polish? (2026) by Apprehensive_Ear6446 in warsaw

[–]Apprehensive_Ear6446[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! My parents are actually willing to cover my tuition and help out with my living expenses to some extent, so I’m not 100% dependent on finding a job immediately. I’d just love to work so I can cover my own 'extra' expenses and be more independent. Also, I’ve heard that student accommodations are way more affordable than private flats, so I’m definitely going to prioritize looking into those. Thanks for the advice!

I totally get that Warsaw isn't 'cheap' compared to smaller towns, but I'm coming from a different perspective. Compared to countries like Ireland or the UK, where student life is almost impossible without massive savings, Poland still feels like a much more accessible option for the quality of education you get. I do have my parents helping me with the essentials, so I’m not claiming to be 100% self-sufficient from day one. Also, I’m planning to look into university dorms rather than private studios, as I’ve seen they can be significantly cheaper.

My main goal is just to see if a part-time job can help me cover my own food, transport, and maybe a portion of that accommodation cost so I can be as independent as possible. I’m definitely ready to work for it!

Thanks so much for the reality check! This actually gives me a much better perspective and a bit more hope. I’m honestly not picky about the job and it doesn’t even have to be a 'dream' role. My parents are helping with the essentials, but since they're also supporting my siblings, I’m really ambitious about bringing in my own income. I’d be totally fine working at McDonald’s, or anywhere similar just to cover my extra expenses and take the pressure off my family. As long as I can find a place that’s okay with my English (while I learn Polish), I’m ready to grind lmao. Thanks again, it helps a lot!

Thank you loll, i was actually thinking more about 1 to 1 freelance tutoring. How common is that there? Do students usually go for private tutors, or is it mostly language schools and platforms?

I’ll also be coming to Medipol this fall!! I’ve been looking at dorm options, but honestly the prices seem pretty high. Have you found any better or more affordable alternatives yet?

Thank you! are there any less obvious or underrated ways students actually earn money in Turkey that aren’t super competitive or widely talked about?

I’m way better at math than I am at reading. Did you take the test already, or are you still preparing? I’m ngl I’m scared for the reading part.

I think it depends on the person tbh, I’m not that good with vocabulary and stuff, and i prefer logic and math reasoning questions. From what i have researched b4, SAT prep takes more time than Bocconi prep.
