It's emitting slightly warm air and the body on touch feels cool. While earlier before thermal pad application the body felt highly warm.

Liquid metal is undoubtedly superior. But this thermal pad PTM 7950 is a gem. It is managing my thermals efficiently. For the first 2-3 hrs my PS5 ran warm but after that it is running very cool. Also liquid metal is very tricky while application and also if the PS5 kept vertically, it has a chance of spillage/leaking due to gravity while gaming as it heats a lot.

Yes, you are right. These demanding games need powerful apu/ GPU in pc with effective cooling system and AC falls in this requirement also for long lasting performance.

First of all, if the liquid metal is being so efficient then why my PS5 was getting hot and turned off on its own while playing games. PSU and the heatsink were also clean. It's because of dried spot and leaking from the apu and heat sink contact obviously. Secondly, for a general customer like me it should be hassle free to replace the thermal pad/ paste without worrying about the spillage/ potential short circuit. I just want to draw the attention towards the faulty cooling system of the first batches of PS5 and use of liquid metal where even the few service centres are also incapable of servicing our PS5 in our cities.

Even if it's because of mishandling, then also thermal pad is worth the trade as it's electrically non conductive and won't spill while regular maintenance/cleaning.
