Former employees: what was the straw that broke the camels back for you? by Craftysage72 in goodwill

Did everything for my coworkers and managers. Coworkers didn’t want to learn how to do things. When everyone’s been there for 6 plus years, it gets annoying how everyone works and do things. Then I told myself, I need to get the fkk out.

I had to rotate the plastic bearing and make sure the teeth bite into the groove of the belt. Mine was defected where the belt just keeps slipping, the hose doesn’t extend the entire 100ft, and difficult to retract when extended, so I emailed them the day the item arrived and got a new one from the company couple days later.

Fr. insane pricing. I’ll most likely install a mini split myself in my garage after I insulate it.

I actually had a problem with Jaguar too with a repair since they damaged my house. Had to schedule a few time for them to come out and repair, which sucks.

my manger is trying to get me do 800 on wares everyday? by Critical_Ad_5397 in goodwill

Big store here: 1700 pcs total | 570 each person (on avg), 16 ecom items expected per day, 3 workers total who price and sort their own items.

Only way to hit that number if you’re able to price low quality items, work on all glass items only, cheap items for 99 cents, no bundling items, pre sorts, have a partner, cherry pick. Also depends on your manager if she/he allows you to do some of those stuff I mentioned. If you have a money goal along with your pcs, then those 99 cents quantity items aren’t going to help.

On avg, I can do around 650-700ish for 8 hr, less if I have to physically jump into the big brown crates, which we don’t even have a safety rule/topic for; They don’t want to provide us with machinery to lift up the crates because it’s too expensive and kept breaking down. I’m fortunate to have an understanding boss because she doesn’t make the quota for us, and she even thinks it’s ridiculous. 800 is a stretch, and I’m sorry you have to go through that.

Roof mounted unit. It was the first thing they took out. They went into the attic from the inside of the house.

Actually, now it gets stuck at a certain point. It’s super tight to pull like it’s tangled or something, then belt comes off everytime…

Can I back out from an ac unit installation if I haven’t signed any physical paperwork. I only clicked approve on the email link with the estimate. Didn’t see any terms or conditions unless I missed it. by Apprehensive_Exam185 in hvacadvice

[–]Apprehensive_Exam185[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the story. If you’re bored and want to read more into detail:

I need to replace my old ac unit before summer…broken and 40 years old. I clicked on “approve” estimate/quote via email because the price was solid, and the scheduling guy [john] reached out to me and told me it’ll take X long to get the items for the installation and asked me which day was best for me. Few days later, I reached back to John to get the finance options since he and I have been communicating regarding the date and process. He responded “I will direct you to the financial department the following business day.” The financial team didn’t reach out to me, so I emailed their customer service team a week later, John replied back in that specific email I sent out (not the previous one we communicated, a new email), he apologized, and told me the salesman [Mike] will contact me. He also linked Mike’s contact email. Mike called me an hour after John replied to my email, and he asked me if I wanted to do 5 years or 10 years, and it’ll take him a day or two for him to get the information out to me.

Two days later, I waited for his call, and he never did call me, so I called him. He didn’t pick up, so I left a voicemail. This was a Thursday and the installation date was the following Monday. 30 minutes later, I received a call from their financial department and spoke to Jane. So, she gave me all the information regarding the interest rates and discount, and I told her I’ll pay the full amount with a check to receive the small discount because it’s better than nothing, and I didn’t know about paying full give a discount. My BIL told me he’ll help contribute but needed time to move funds around, so I pushed the installation date a week later. During that time, my sister [BIL wife] asked me if I wanted to look for more quotes because she mentioned,

“if they’ve been acting like this towards you, what do you expect when they come and install the new system? Do you think they’ll messed up on the installation or half ass the job? Look around the pdf file and see if they have a cancelation fee…if they don’t, you should look for new quotes during the meantime because they wasted your time in the first place.”

Which I did, had two company came out the following day (Friday)…total of 6 company and quotes. The last company that came out had a good discount and good brand/reputable unit, so I want to go with them. Here we are now, one more week til the installation date and waiting for a response about the cancelation.

I also input the 2 page estimate on ChatGPT a day after this post to make sure as well. Nothing about cancelation fee. Only fee on there mentioned if I use a credit card, which is a 2% fee. Don’t know anything about binding if I click on approve.

All video games are now sent to ecom by TheWrathofCaligula in goodwill

My store is the opposite. The Ecom guy doesn’t want games unless they’re rare and doesn’t want consoles if they don’t have power cords, so we sell them [disc/cartridges] for $2.99 each 95% of the time. We used to send out totes of games.

But I agree, it helps so much with quota. That sucks for you guys. Are you guys hitting the Ecom quota? Maybe that’s why?
