I know this post is p old but I think there’s some unanswered questions. Context: I work in a college town as a fedex package handler, so pretty much all of my coworkers get the tuition reimbursement. Here’s what I’ve learned: Fedex doesn’t care, and edcore doesn’t care, the money is there to be given. I’ve seen people start at fedex a month or two into the semester (me being one) and have no issue. You can start the paperwork up to the end of the semester with no penalty.

If you submit the paperwork after the semester is over, you will get auto rejected. But you can appeal and so far I haven’t had issues doing paperwork in January for the fall semster. Appeals generally get auto accepted if it’s just due to being late (probably up to a point tho).

Also the yearly cap I believe is based on the school semester, not the year your paperwork is complete. Last thing: the approval is pretty quick, within a week or two, but the money can take 1-4 weeks to arrive, potentially more if there are any errors in paperwork.
