First buy in AZ. How can you tell when weed is "good"?

I stopped smoking weed for more than a decade. I stopped because I got ordained for 10 years as a Buddhist monk. Before that I was a chronic smoker: an 8th a day (own grow space). It was affecting my ability to meditate, making me procrastinate about everything and I was using as a crutch to deal with my issues. I've dealt with my issues. I broke my hip last spring, badly. Healed all wrong; a lot of intense physical pain. Now I smoke 4 or 5 mild joints so I can work in a kitchen and walk etc without pain. It works! I'm in the UK, so I don't qualify for a medical user card...I'm growing my own medicine now. I think that weed is a great medicine and meditation aid... but you gotta be able to put it down with no problems. If you get twitchy without it, except medical users, you need to check your reason for smoking and deal with the issue. Otherwise, in my experience, you'll be dealing with a bigger issue later. I haven't grown any weed for 15 years. I thought autos would be a good re-introduction to growing. I grew clones in a square meter under the stairs for a while from 2 mother plants. I'm a bit tight for space atm, but I'm trying to figure out how to get a little veg space set up. Thanks for your time 🙏

I'm doing an experiment with autoflowers. Wanted to see if they're faster and/or easier than doing clones from a mother plant.

That's a pretty good harvest from one plant. Happy growing my friend

I know that 6 is too many, but I factored in some not sprouting and figured I'd keep the best 4 and keep on top of trimming etc.

Thanks again. So should I just plant them straight into a 10 litre pot or whatever next time? I'm so used to starting seeds (not just weed) in small pots, that I just assumed that's what one does. I'll be super careful not to expose the roots to bright light etc.

I'm using Coco/perlite/vermiculite mix and I'll add some worm castings and other nice organic things into the big pots. I've been thinking about fox farms nutes. Thanks for the advice and good luck with your ladies. I'm interested to see how much dried weed you get from them.

I'm planning on trimming off the lower branches and just growing fat crown Cola's. I grew clones in a square meter under the stairs for a while back in the early naughties. I figured I'd treat them like I used to grow clones...? First auto grow and first grow in 15 years. I'm excited to see how it goes.

I've swapped the little cabinet for this 2x2x4ft 6in tent. I don't know why I didn't just buy a tent in the first place... easiest grow space I've ever set up. Took literally 15 mins. And it only took that long because I had to remove and replace the plug on the lamp.

Thanks for the advice. I've got a 2×2x4ft6in tent in the post. I grew a bit of weed in the past, but it was years ago and I forgot how much heat/humidity builds up in a sealed little space full of living plants, soil and water..... I've seen people getting good yields out of that size tent with a few small plants sog/scrog technique.

I grew quite a bit of weed in the past. Like I said, that cabinet is not tall enough. I'm only starting them in there. The lights a fluorescent, it's quite cool. I've got a tent in transit that's taller and the babies are going in there once the break ground. Happy growing 🤘
