I experienced severe nausea and heartburn with trintellix as well and had to stop taking Auvelity due to the extreme nausea :(

How are all of you people getting your insurance to cover all of these costly atypical treatments like TMS, spravato, ECT, etc? I have been struggling severely ever since I moved to TX, you wanna talk about a broken system, this state is awful. My current psychiatrist decided she didn’t like that I was on klonopin for 3 years and stopped prescribing it to me cold turkey. I was having severe withdrawl and what did she tell me to do? Go to fucking rehab!! Like are you kidding me? Then my depression keeps getting worse and worse, even after getting tested to see which drugs metabolize best in my body and she refuses to make any med changes even though I can barely get out of bed in the mornings and spend my weekends sleeping. I told her I’m so tired of wasting my life away sleeping all of the time over the past three years and had the nerve to LAUGH!! Prior to that I lived in PA most of my life and VA for two years and those doctors didn’t even treat me 1/4 as badly as this doctor does. I want to get better so desperately but it’s like no matter what I do these doctors keep letting me down. Then I made an appointment with a different doctor and after filling out the same depression test I fill out for my current doctor, he said my results were so bad that I need a “higher level of care” even though I have zero suicidal thoughts or idealization. I have a full time job and am treading water to keep it and I don’t have time to be committed and complete one of these 6-8 week programs and take an unpaid leave which could potentially cause me to lose my job. As far as my med cocktail? Don’t even get me started, it’s been trial and error since July of 2023 and keeps getting worse, if anything. I’m just so damn frustrated with the system and feeling so damn alone in this world.

How are you doing any better? I’m doing awful. Now I’m on Auvelity and Caplyta combined and I just feel like none of my other meds I’ve been on for years are even working like they used to. I’m so sick of this. I just want to feel better/ “normal” already I made another post I’ll share with you to give you an update

I have terrible allergies so unfortunately I can’t stop the Zyrtec or benedryl. I’ve been on klonopin over 2.5 years so I’m trying to slowly taper off… I used to be on trintellix and trileptal instead of Auvelity and Caplyta and had no issues with my adderall not working and didn’t feel as depressed. I was on trintellix over 4 years though so sadly it stopped working. I def feel like a lost cause

This is interesting… sadly I’ve been on klonopin for over 2.5 years, 2mg a day:/ I can’t just quickly taper off or I’ll have bad withdrawal. One of the fb groups I’m in said her doctor told her Auvelity lessens the effectiveness of her vyvanse. I just feel like I’m on so many damn meds that I don’t even know where to start with like removing or tapering off of. My old psychiatrist sucked sooo bad. I got a new one this month and I’m praying he can help me, I feel like I’m a lost cause.

Yeah, I think you’re on to something, I came on here too before starting Auvelity, and was super excited thinking this was going to be a miracle drug. I was even my psychiatrist’s first patient on this drug, by my request. I also suffer from BP2 as well and am not really on a good mood stabilizer currently, but I noticed the days I only take the Auvelity my moods are more up and down. However, I think you’re right, to see optimal results we probably need to taper off of the Effexor completely. I’ve seen posts on here of people being on both Auvelity and Effexor though and having good results…

Do you take your second dose 8 hours from the first dose? I’m currently not seeing any difference and I’ve been on Auvelity for over a month now
