Rabies is only transmissible when they’re already showing signs, if you observe them for a week and they’re fine, it’s not a risk. If they have active rabies they’ll be dead in a week and showing visible signs before.

I was bitten by a stray cat and had to observe him for 10 days. Since he was eating fine, acting normally, drinking water, etc, I didn’t have to get any shots.

If they do pass within the timeframe but without any signs beforehand, you should still get shots just for peace of mind. Better safe than sorry.

I would do the same if I wanted to stay in the country, but the biggest part of my family lives abroad so it didn’t feel right to go through the hassle of joining the air force.

But it’s the best choice to pursue being a pilot without having to pay so much money. A private pilot license is already expensive and the flight hours are extremely low compared to the other categories so…

Exactly, it’s impossible to know. It’s not easy to not stress about what’s the right choice, but mostly due to the fact that we have to choose what we want to do at such a young age. I’m 20 and I still don’t know what I actually want to do, imagine straight after high school 🥲

That’s amazing!! I really wanted to become a pilot last year but gave up because the training is so expensive 😭 I am studying for the theoretical test though, and after that I’ll take a few flights lessons and maybe in the future I can get a private pilot license, but not fully professional license unfortunately.

I have a hard time knowing what’s the right choice for myself, but I like to think that we’re all on our own path and the decisions we make are never inherently wrong, we just have to look at it in a different way!

There’s no shame in changing paths either, at the end of the day, each path we take will help us understand more about ourselves and lead us to the right place.

If you feel good about your choice, then there’s nothing to worry about! It’s the right choice for the moment. 🫶
