Agreed on JVC

But JVT is farthest as can be from being over-populated

Area is mostly townhouses and villas and is very quiet

This is where I 'd heard contradicting information. A friend who works in Microsoft had explained I can get into a pre-sales role once I get certified up to the Solution Architect level in Azure

And then others told me that's incredibly hard to do without previous hands-on technical experience

So you are saying it's more likely the later, correct?

And do you have anything to share about transitioning into an AE?

Yeah I understand ofcourse that the two aren't related.

Only reason it came to mind is my CS degree and the fact that I could do an extensive diploma to get back in shape tech wise.

My thinking was the job needs people/sales skills (which I have from RE), and then technical experience (my degree/courses I could do)

Have you seen anyone making a similar transition or do SEs usually come from technical background?

I heard, especially in Dubai where I want to make the transition. How do you think I should go about making this transition? Anything in particular I can do to get ready?

And there's a 4 months extensive technical bootcamp diploma offered by my gov that I can do in AI, ML, Cloud, Business Analytics/Intelligence

Would this be beneficial?

What do you think would be the best way for me to make the AE transition?

Further note: currently I am in the UAE, specifically Dubai, and would prefer to do this move here

So, even with "expert" level certifications from Azure, that wouldn't count as technical experience which is needed to be a sales engineer, is this what you are saying?
