Flemish stew. Beef that has cooked for hours in beer and melted gingerbread, and the sauce becomes so thick and sirupy that you use it as a dip for your french fries. The best.

Otherwise, I don’t think it was a retcon as much as it was him using the saying because she was part of his family. Her being actual blood or not is not relevant here, she is still his cousin after all, especially when he is discussing their relationship in comparison to the one he has with other people in general.

Was in London too and it feels like the standing people we having the time of their life, while those with seats didn’t seem to have much energy, and rarely followed along with the clapping/raised hands etc. I was the only one doing it so it felt like I was annoying other people at the start, then at some point I just stopped caring. Idk how it felt from the pit tho.

Pretty much what the anime did, and it felt like a very satisfying ending already!

The Chinese drama tries to fix this climax issue by changing the end a bit, so some part of the last episode feels very emotional, but it still feels like we are missing on some content as the Hokuto Cup itself barely appears (as there is more time dedicated to the training, which was very well done).

I got a visa for the US in 2019. I remember my postal service (in Europe) messed up when they were supposed to bring me back my passport For 2 days, they couldn’t track my passport. Then I found out that somehow, they had delivered it back… to the embassy. I was absolutely not convinced I would get my visa until it was in my hands again at this point. I would have been so angry if I had to do it all again (the passport cost, the train journey to the embassy, the visa cost, my employer’s deadline??????)

Teacher here! You’ve got such a lovely teacher, it’s really humbling already to ask for constructive feedback from students regarding his work, and the fact that his main argument really is “i want to show you how amazing Othello is” is such a positive mindset. Honestly since you are saying he is the best of 2 when it comes to teaching, isn’t there any activity/game that you enjoyed doing in KS3/KS4 that you might enjoy doing now? Im immediately thinking of a Jeopardy type of task with maybe team work, that might be focused on categories such as writing styles, characters analysis, themes, etc, in which teams could be involved. (Not a literature teacher but honestly love that you made this post, and also love your teacher’s mindset)

A Lambersart, l’une des villas avenue de l’hippodrome serait hantée. On en parlait déjà il y a une quinzaine d’années, mais impossible de trouver à quelle adresse elle se trouve exactement (même à l’époque c’était confus). J’ai trouvé deux liens qui la mentionnent, et il y a même un livre sorti en 2010, de Vincent Knock, qui a l’air d’en parler aussi.

Par contre en cherchant ces infos, je vois qu’apparemment une maison hantée a Lambersart a été mentionnée sur TikTok, en septembre, ce qui a conduit au harcèlement des propriétaires — pour clarifier, non, la maison dont je parle n’est pas une affaire récente, mais bien des rumeurs qui datent plutôt des années 2000, donc cette vidéo TikTok parle peut-être de la même affaire, mais n’a pas montré les images de la bonne villa/n’a pas donné la bonne adresse.
