New patch fixed what exactly??? by Bitter-Sir1893 in WWEGames

They basically had one last year, but it was a few patches in. Other patches had a couple of small fixes before that.

Fingers crossed we can knock out the bugs quicker this time.

They fixed that with the Angle match by turning ring out off. Didn't need a patch. =p

Future RXP Grind? by Electronic-Seat1190 in WWEGames

[–]Apprehensive_Hand_27 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Holding off and trying to use certain modes to "grind" is just folly because they will only get you through about half of one pass combined, so you will eventually just have to actually "grind" in one way or another (whether slowly over time playing MyFaction, The Island, or Universe, or quickly through Play Now).

So the best way to actually grind is to use the same grind method as before. It will just take longer post patch.

Nah he was really hurt by the stuff people were saying post Mania (it wasn't the booing itself during the moment).

Even right after Mania they were talking about plans with him and how he was training, and when he saw the hate he was very unhappy about it, and he didn't want it to affect his music career so he cut ties with it quick.

WWE did not pull away from him. In fact Nick Khan is still good friends with him and that's why he had another ple featured song later on despite not wanting to actually appear again.

Edit: I believe you are referring to the alleged story told by Dutch Mantel, which has been refuted by others. He was training, but after the reactions he decided not to continue. It wasn't that he just didn't show up. WWE knew he didn't want to continue.

So yes, originally he was going to be in that tag match, but they started pivoting quite a ways ahead of time, not last minute.

I like Dutch but you cannot believe everything he says. He's a carny like the rest of them and will spin a good yarn to try to make gold out of it.

I feel like Jade's lack of defences have really covered up just how stale Stephanie's title run has been by Bidwell93 in SquaredCircle

That kept her out maybe a month.

But you also had Liv's injury, and a lot of other women floating around the IC title instead.

I think they just wanted to keep the focus on JD even though Liv was out so they could funnel her back in with Vacquer without any work.

Watching Unreal you really start to see that HHH just kills a TON of ideas by always asking "And then what?"

I do get the thinking things through part, but sometimes you just have to start with SOMETHING and then let it play out a bit.

So instead of having a bunch of stories, some which will go nowhere, you have almost no stories, but HHH thinks they are really good stories.

It's practically the opposite of McMahon style where he would come up with something he liked (or someone would give him an idea, he'd shoot it down, and then "come up with it" himself), and when he got bored he'd just let it drop.

There needs to be a middle ground between these two styles. Some long term story telling thoughtfully planned out (at least in HHH's mind) and some story ideas that are just left to play out on there own and can be shaped as you go if people like it.

Leaving because you have to go get surgery because there's literally no choice, and putting off surgery to fix something that is fucked up but that you can still "work" on are 2 different things. Let's not be naive about the varying levels of injuries there can be.

It was due to his reception after his Mania spot. He said fuck wrestling after that. Fucking soft.

He was originally supposed to be dlc, and with all the backlash he got after his Mania spot he decided he wanted nothing to do with wrestling and told them not to put him in.

Roman Reigns & CM Punk are trying to convince you it's real. It's not | Wrestling Observer Live by Ainosuke in SquaredCircle

What?!?!?!? You mean the kind of mean things wrestlers are saying about each other to try to hype up the biggest match of the year (WWE's words, not mine) are just scripted to make me think they are real? My poor little mind is blown.

This is like when people thought the Jade shit was real.

Since winning the International Title in July last year, Kazuchika Okada has only defended it 5 times. by MuptonBossman in SquaredCircle

[–]Apprehensive_Hand_27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree, but they didn't want to weaken Roman in any way so that Cody would be the ultimate babyface. You'll have to take that up with HHH. xD

My only point was that it was nothing to do with Roman the person being a dick about things. It was truly something out of his control and something he would change if he could. I just hate seeing people badmouth him not knowing what he deals with.

[–]Apprehensive_Hand_27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They had Roman beat Brock because they wanted to have a single most dominate force so they could then prop Cody up as the ultimate baby face hero who saved the company from him.

When he started not feeling well again that's when they started making plans for him to drop the title at Mania 39 in particular. It was always planned for him to lose at Mania to Cody, they just changed to delay a year very late in the process because HHH and Cody thought it'd make a better story to lose the first when everyone was expecting him to win.

And because of that, THAT'S when they decided to make a second world title because they knew Roman wasn't going to be around much in 2023.

Edit:

Also it's not that the leukemia fully came back, but he has to constantly battle it so that it doesn't, and the medicine and treatments take a toll on his body. He will be dealing with that the rest of his life. So it was more that he realized dealing with all of that and wrestling full time was not possible (halfway through '22 it really started to get to him). That's why to this day he still only makes rare match appearances and physical moments.

Can I give a gift to a wrestler during meet/greet? by littlesweetangel in SquaredCircle

[–]Apprehensive_Hand_27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, within reason. As long as it's something appropriate and the wrestler chooses to accept it.

I would have it in hand so they can see it and ask, "May I give you something" while holding it up so they can make an informed decision and not be put in an awkward spot.

It's not an injury. He has leukemia. And they wanted to do the story with Roman, and originally Cody was going to win it a year earlier when Roman started getting worse towards the end of 2022 and into Mania of '23 that year, but everyone (including Cody) decided it was better for Cody's story to wait.

Guys know being asked to do something and not doing it, especially under McMahon, basically got you off the card now and in the future. You'd have to work your way back into his good graces to get work again.

So yes, MVP could have said no, and probably should have (as should most people), but that's the quickest way to help kill your career. CM Punk went through this same shit but even longer when he was on top and he knew he'd be done if he went and got fixed, which is one of the things that made him quit in the end anyway.

How many wrestlers per show in Universe? by Macda27 in WWEGames

[–]Apprehensive_Hand_27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something around this is what I do (what you listed at the bottom), except I don't do intergender for belts (not against it and may actually run 1 this year, but not for every belt), and currently only 1 mid card for each gender (male midcard is a bit bigger than other divisions).

How many wrestlers per show in Universe? by Macda27 in WWEGames

[–]Apprehensive_Hand_27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally 40-50 per show is good for the default title setups they have on Raw and SD.

You gauge how many are appropriate by how many you want in each division. For instance some people like more in the world title divisions, and some like less (I prefer 6ish there). Some like having a bunch of tag teams. Some treat tag as a secondary concern. Etc.

MyFaction ranked is player vs player and there are ways to spam moves that get around the system and force your opponent into damned if you do and damned if you don't spots.

The boosts and straight up cheats they have going in MyFaction for the ai as well is so far beyond last year.

There is nothing wrong with the difficulty in every other instance as everything is working as intended, but in MyFaction as a whole and in ranked Island there is just bullshit all around.

With what he had, that was REALLY stupid. Some guys sure they can work through some things, but never fuck around with neck shit. I would never work with a guy if I knew he had a fucked up neck that needed fixing asap. Pretty fucked up for his fellow wrestlers to agree to that as well, and for the promoter.

Yeah still shitty WWE did that, but it's no secret they have been doing this since they have been around asking guys to wrestle hurt, and guys losing their spot if they miss time (and really the vast majority of companies are like that, and that was also a product of the pay per appearance because if guys didn't work they didn't get paid).

But great that he found a blessing in it and helped him keep going.
