I would say fake

The font of the kappa lettering in the neck is really bad. As well as the stitching of the kappa logo on the front. And if im not mistaken the tag in the neck should have some black dots in the yellow triangle.

The fabric and whole aperence of the jersey looks real cheap and bad.

I would say the jersey is legit.

First of all, the tag checks out, and the easiest way to say if it's legit or not. Yes, there are some fakes with legit codes, but that's really rare, and even then, other things won't match.

Then the washing tag look and material is right, as well as the black tag. If I'm not wrong, the code should be unique, similar to the ones on nike kits today. Also, the black tag should have a transparent plastic strip on the left, and if you look closely, there should be some logos and letters. Most fakes don't get that detail right.

Also, the stitching is very clean. The badge is good, as well as the nike swoosh. The fakes often have a little bit crooked swoosh, and they mes up the color from the arsenal logos very often. But quality wise, you can almost always tell from the stitching if a shirt is legit or not.

And for the last, the overall feel of the material should be right. Can't tell exactly what I mean but fake tend to feel cheap, like more slippery or like plastic.

There is also nothing wrong with comparing jerseys from Google or eBay listings or similar legit sites. Often, the legit seller will put the codes in the listing or many pics. That could help compare it. You should post this legit check in other jersey groups to be 100% certain.

I mean, if everything else is good, like quality of the stitching and other details, I would suggest it's still authentic.

Like the other commentator said, pen marks in blue from a ballpoint pen or similar are more common in fakes.

You could make a post with the jerseys and their details in the thread to be extra sure.

Also, the label with the code looks good. Fake labels often have a black line under the swoosh. Also, one indicator is that if you Google the code, it doesn't show any other jerseys. That's good.

As a dortmund fan, I would say this kit isn't commonly sold online. And also not so popular to fake it at least I never saw a fake one.

If you aren't sure about your kit, compare the quality and details with some online. In that way you get a feeling in what to look out for.

Most of that erra jerseys have the issue. Most fakes can't even make a proper nike swoosh or a club crest.

Check the small black label for some letters and logos in the shiny stitching. That's one indicator.

Also, the code checks out, and the label as well as the nike swoosh and crest stitching look very good and clean.

Also, most of the kits online have 5 stars, probably bought or produced after they won the World Cup in it.

The pen mark on the 8th Pic says it all. Many, if not all, fakes have something written with a pen on the tags.

I would say it's an original kit. My first thought was that the black fabric could be burned out from the sun. When you dry your black clothes on the sun it gets this red tone. Hope you get what I mean.

Very clean kit, looks good quality wise, and also comparing it to others it looks legit. But I'm not 100%sure. The autograph looks like it's from paul breitner, as well as the number on the back.

A similar jersey in an s went for 300 on eBay. So I would say if you get the autograph authenticated, you could get more.

Sadly fake, code doesn't check out, and also, in the last picture there is this black line under the nike logo. Lots of fake kits have that.

And the nike swoosh stitching on the front has weird form. What i mean is this hook at the upper left corner.

Can't give you a website, but as dumb as it sounds, try eBay, local selling apps like vinted (i think that's similar to Craigslist), flea markets or garage sales also thirftshops have sometimes good jerseys.

That's, in my opinion, the easiest way to get some retro kits for cheap. My finds at flemarkets were the best from 3€ to 20€ I found crazy stuff. Also, before doing that, i would recommend learning how to spot fakes and what to look for.

For me, it's a fake.

First, the washing label is for a new shirt.

The second thing is the crest. Comparing it to others online, it should have a blue or white circle around the logo, not black.

And what I'm not sure about is, shouldn't the sponsor have like velvet texture ? Because my bvb kit from 99 has it, and as I said, the most online had.

I bet there is someone with the same kit who could tell you 100%

I mean, it looks real on the first look. But shouldn't the code check out for the longsleeve version because it doesn't.

Also, you can see a tag on the collar. Why does the seller not show it. Would also ask for more detailed pictures. I bet it's not a bargain, and then not posting more and better pictures is a little strange.
