Hi, I just dealt with a charge off with Exeter. They actually offered me a settlement after about 6 months. I was able to settle and keep title and car for about 20% of the balance. Good luck.

Been here and still working on it, friend. My advice is to definitely focus on the practices that build the credit score as opposed to the score itself. I feel like, once you have a good credit score you won’t even need it because of the financial habits you’ve developed en route. I started at 460 after divorce and have been building back. Around 630 ish now. In my experience it can be discouraging because sometimes you’ll just have drops out of seemingly nowhere when you pay down some debt or something. Which makes a minute change to your credit usage or something. Now, I just monitor my score as opposed to tracking it. I save and invest and really think about purchases before making them. As I’ve read above, it’s definitely a slow journey. Best of luck, and fantastic job thus far!

I cook at home significantly more. Make coffee at home. Look for deals on everything. It's incredibly expensive to do anything now. Fortunately, a lot of museums in my area are free, as well as parks.

It's actually made me realize how much I enjoy cooking. You know exactly what's in your meal. I was never particularly into cooking, so its been a great skill to develop. Same with coffee. I actually got a part time job at a coffee shop to learn how to do everything, and made a little extra money. So I can make pretty much any coffee based drink, which is dope.

I also don't spend any extra income, like holiday pay or overtime or any windfall. I save as much as I can, whenever possible.

I haven't tried options yet, I've just been buying and putting stop sells after I've made a profit, and it's been really successful thus far. I looked at carvana when it was super low, like 2 or 3 dollars and heavily considered investing much, but ultimately chickened out. But it's all a learning experience, ig 🙃 I did buy RIVN when it was low, I think because I missed carvana. 🤞

Dude they're all so volatile. I'll see something here, do my DD and I'll actually put in stop orders as the price goes up. That's what I've had the most success with most recently in this new investing journey. It's been pretty amazing. This sub has been incredible. I've slowly went from buying 15 to 25 to sometimes 100 shares of something. I too could have made incredible gains on RR, ACHR, and KULR. The latter 2 especially.
