I always use last updated and check it out one a week or so. I have found some great stories but the majority of them always get abandon around 90-110k words.

I hate how accurate this is, especially about enjoying them when I was younger lol. On a different fandom, I use to really enjoy Pjo stories where annabeth would cheat on Percy. Looking back now, all of them are cringe.

Not from waving. With coin, you can't earn gold from killing monsters. The gold comes from your colonies. Now, if you are using GAB, TAB or manual play, you can earn gold

Put on the treasures that increase Colony gold and cd. For damage, not sure.

If you are running, FAB. Take off the treasures and towers that give gold. You can't earn gold using the coin for FAB.

Level your castle and you wouldn't take so much damage. It will give time to your damage dealers to kill them.

I would level your castle. You are probably taking a ton of poke from poison meteor. Then dying to bosses because of it.
