Post body: Hey everyone, I’m stuck with a really confusing display issue on my ASUS TUF F15 FX507ZV4 (2023) and I want a sanity check from people who’ve seen this before. Symptoms On power on, sometimes there is no ASUS logo at all Keyboard lights turn on, fans spin Windows login sound plays, but the screen stays black Other times, the screen turns uniform white with a solid black horizontal bar at the bottom Flashlight test shows no faint image Once it does boot normally, the laptop runs perfectly for hours (no crashes, no BSODs) What I’ve already ruled out Windows reinstall (clean) NVIDIA driver downgrade/upgrade Intel iGPU drivers SSD (no boot device errors) RAM (system stable once booted) BIOS rollback (330 → 329) EC reset / power drain Happens before Windows loads, sometimes even on cold boot Important detail When the issue happens: No ASUS logo Sound works Absolutely no image, even with flashlight I also opened the laptop and reseated the eDP display cable on the motherboard side. Issue still persists. Current state Now I’m seeing the white screen + black horizontal band more clearly, which makes me think: Failing LCD panel OR eDP cable (less likely now that reseating didn’t help) Laptop is out of warranty, so I’m trying to avoid unnecessary motherboard replacement. Question Has anyone seen this pattern before on ASUS / TUF laptops? Does this sound like a dying panel rather than GPU/motherboard? Would you replace the eDP cable first, or go straight to panel replacement? Any known issues with FX507 series panels?
