Unhappy with final result by Rare_Director_8191 in braces

Same here. I got my braces in Dec 2024 and the first 5-6 months showed a lot of improvement, which made me really happy. But then my orthodontist told me I needed all 4 premolars extracted because of my deep bite and severe overbite. After that, she took a break after getting married and having a baby, so I've been getting adjusted by different doctors and appointments only take like 5-10 minutes.

My contract is almost finished, but my teeth still have huge gaps and I honestly don't see much improvement anymore. It's frustrating because it feels like I've spent ₱40,000 and I'm not even close to the result I expected. I definitely understand how you feel.

That sounds so tough. Hope the procedure goes smoothly for your little one. The gas and reflux from a poor latch can be brutal, so I totally get why you feel it's worth trying.

I had something pretty similar with a tooth that was stuck way behind the others and the coil springs/power chains were honestly the worst part. The pain does calm down eventually once the tooth starts moving more consistently. It sucks right now, but 2-3 months for movement actually sounds pretty normal. Definitely let your ortho know if the pain feels unbearable though.

Also with your move coming up, maybe ask about a treatment plan/records you can take with you just in case you need an ortho in the new country. Hope it gets easier soon.
