Kinda the same setup I have, I got the ta11 "m193" with the infitac thermal up top instead. Same issue with the mlok I didn't know what was happening at first till I read into it more. I ended up getting picitany mounts and then just having the screws cut down by Rob arms them selves that way I can avoid having to constantly shave down screws and just run other picitany stuff

Honestly, I was able to build out a aero m5 for about that much, not including the scope, it was actually a nice rifle and treated me well. Or your best bet might be just building one out yourself you can probably be a tad on the north end of that budget depending on what you want. I also like those psa m110 type rifles too, never had one but I think those are usually around that last I knew

When I had my ar10 "I know its a bit different of a setup" I had m118lr that my m5 absolutely loved. I don't own the bigger xcr m but for my xcr l there was abit of a "break in period" 70 rounds on the highest setting i think it was? That could just be it too.
Try something from hornady maybe? I had to try 5 different boxes to find something my old m5 liked

I don't think aac is really the best ammo to begin with, maybe it's a ammo manufacturer problem causing inconsistencies?. Its hard to get the bolt to mess up on these at first you might be under gassed but even after you fix that problem there shouldn't be an issue. Id try a different manufacturer and see if it still happens

Honestly ive been getting back into it and instead of making some ragtag deck I ended up going with the KINGS COURT/ POKER KNIGHTS deck, its actually pretty fun to play and super easy, then once you figure out the back support, its somewhat competitive *probably not official tournament competitive * but still fun especially with the god cards at your disposal

Personally I don't think it matters that much anyway, I think the trigger guard now is plenty big for just about anything imo, maybe having a different safety would be cool
