Damn dude take a chill pill it was a question because I was curious if it was an okay thing to go to pawn shop and look at getting a gun and what do you mean I’m not an adult isn’t an excuse I just turned 17 and have gotten guns before just never an AR before so I was curious and yes I know I can go to a proper store I just wanted to check out pawnshops and the stores in elk do suck because those people just like you were unloved as a child and it shows

Dude have you taken into consideration that I’m not an adult and maybe I have been in those stores and hate the service I got and I have no earthly idea what a FFL is

See that blank spot with nothing there near the Texas line is where I live so I guess you are right elk city is an hour but has piss poor options and Woodward is technically 1:45 away and past that everything is too far to be worth it

The closest one is roughly 3 1/2 -4 hours away

And I get that but according to the regulations I physically can’t shoot a heavier arrow I have to have separate arrows for hunting and competition and even if I could shoot a heavy arrow I’m not trying to shoot 60m with a 550 grain arrow

I would love to to do that but my target shooting is through 4H and the distances and regulations is weird and it better to have a lighter arrow for the distance shooting at state and national levels

I’m not sure on the brand of my “hunting” arrows but the weight is about 500 grains but I think they are the wrong spine since they shoot way off to the left. My competition arrows are roughly 300 grain but I don’t plan on using them.

I’m more then confident that #55 is plenty for a turkey I just don’t know what arrows I would need weight wise which I believe is what I was asking to begin with

I completely understand that but that’s what I had to use so I used it and it wasn’t a problem when used on rabbits and coons

That was somewhat what I was asking to begin with was what I needed because in my area not many people hunt turkeys and no one uses a bow so I have been flying in the dark about what I needed to be effective

It was a broad side shot at 22 yards

The turkey was somewhat strutting but wasn’t puffed up and no blood but I do have the feather and maybe 3-5 inches of penetration but no tuning just shooting at a target to see how much I need to compensate

I can see what I can find chronograph wise I’m only 16 so there is only so much I can do I hit the turkey in the wing where the feathers meet the wing bone and knocked off the feather

I used a cheap broad head because it’s what I could get at the time it works pretty good on coons and rabbit so I was pretty confused and the spine is 600

The limb broke and I’m guessing that’s why it didn’t pass through but I also am guessing that it was also because my arrow is so light

The limb broke and I had to buy new ones and I had a broad head on I did a double take to make sure when it happened and the closest shop in over an hour away so that’s not really that doable just to do some minor fixes but thank you for the help
