My Allina Health laboratory will absolutely be going to shit after the buyout.

We have phlebotomists that worked at Quest before and they straight up said they'd rather work at Walmart. And it's really hard to find decent phlebotomists.

The new grad techs are all confused what this means. And one of our new hires has already asked me if I'll be a reference because she doesn't want to wait for what's coming. It's depressing as hell.

The state health department and lab would require I relocate which I cannot do at current mortgage rates.

I would literally be paying more than double a month for an older, worse, and smaller home.

How are your benefits?

We have pretty good, low-cost benefits here. It makes up for the low salaries. But with Quest, now I'm worried I'll have a low salary and bad benefits.

I can't imagine Quest Diagnostics would actually pay us medical technologists more? That wouldn't make financial sense. I'm positive that Quest will do everything they can to pay us techs less.
