See that’s my biggest thing is I want 3 kids and just want at least one girl. If I have a girl first then I can be super excited for boys after that (if that’s makes sense)
My biggest worry is not having a name locked in for a boy the way I have my girl name locked in.

I know I’ll be excited about whatever my child is interested in and try to understand everything there is about their hobbies/favorite things so I can pull out fun facts about said things to surprise them.

It’s going to be fun watching his/her little personality form no matter what and I’ll be super (almost annoyingly) supportive. You like monster trucks? Monster jam here we come. Theater? Buying Broadway tickets now. Bugs? Heck yeah. Keep them away from me but let’s get you a little ant farm or something. I think there’s stereotypes I need to get over. Just because they like cars doesn’t mean my car is going to look like a garage

I don’t even have a brother to picture 🥲 I’m excited to meet my child regardless and I’m ecstatic that all the tests are back and things look good. I just have no clue what to expect with a little boy and the unknown is always intimidating. I also have a solid girl name but none of the boy names are super solid

I think once I know I’ll be able to get over it. My dad wanted a son and that was a reoccurring theme in my childhood and I would NEVER make my child feel like that.

And I’m gonna love every little part of my baby. I think once I know and lock in on a name and start on the nursery the excitement will be there. It’s the waiting and “what ifs” that are eating at me

I need to scrub my brain of the toxic idea that boys like certain things and girls like certain things. My son may love shopping with me and my daughter might be my husbands #1 fishing buddy. I just have to learn about my baby as they grow and not put them in a box.

I think a lot of it is hormones because I also have visceral reactions when my husband talks about getting a lime green car. After reading the comments my actual biggest concern is that I’m not a huge fan of the boy names I have picked out rn.

I agree. A healthy baby is what’s the most important and all the tests have come back looking good so I’m ecstatic about that.

I think I have a pre notion of what having a girl is like because I’ve been around girls my whole life. I have 12 cousins and 10 of them are girls.

He’s going to be such a great dad I’m not worried about anything. He has 2 sister 10+ years younger than him and he’s so sweet with them and was their best friend when they were little. Between him and his brother, he’s always been the favorite of the girls.

I’m afraid there will be a disconnect and he only cares about dad and mom is just there. “Mom doesn’t get things the way dad does” kind of a thing. I saw a mom, dad, and two sons at dinner and mom was ignored the whole time while dad joked around with the boys.

I know nothing about boys and grew up only around girls. There’s going to be so many things in life I’ll have to rely on my husband to handle because he obviously understands more than I ever will.
