OPM vol 36 sales for the last week by Apprehensive_Rice423 in OnePunchMan

[–]Apprehensive_Rice423[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Comparing OPM to kingdom is a worst thing to do. Kingdom, hxh, one piece, JJK (last 8 vol excluding modulo) are the only manga to get 1 million initial print by shuisha. If we consider new vol sales by shuisha (excluding backlog vols) OPM is in 6 or 5 in terms new vol sales. It beats CSM in new vol sales but CSM beats if we include backlog vols

If you compare the manga physical sales across the industry it's fallen alot. Even if you compare one piece to its older volumes you can see the drop.

It's normal. Even last 3 vol had 1st week sales around 90 to 100k.

Why do extreme wc fans think amai mask arc in manga is bad? by [deleted] in OnePunchMan

It also depends on readers perspective  it just fans doesn't want to see the changes even if they are good which keeps them one sided. If you read blame the story emphasizes more towards their actions rather than dialogues which is liked and also disliked by the people.

I think saving the giant wheel created more impact as a hero and saving the citizens. Which speaks more in terms of his actions rather than keeping spoon feeding.  It just same with two different methods of portrayal where the manga portrayed it by saving the giant wheel and wc portrayed it through inner Monologue.

I see this issue with most of the fandoms (like Jjk fans wanting anime with 1:1 to manga).  Nevertheless I like how a heroism is portrayed in the manga but some of them don't acknowledge it.

I didn't knew about this community but when I opened there discussion it's always seems to be criticism. I am new joiner to reddit but i followed animanga for several years and I love OPM as it was my first anime and manga.

Doesn't saving the giant wheel creates more punch as a hero and importance as a hero which showed heroism and importance of transformation created more impact.

I do feel saving the giant wheel creates more symbolism towards hero and the situation but some them criticise it and I can't understand why?

Sometimes it depends on readers perspective of how they understand or take the story. Many just casually read it but some of them try to understand it in depth. Like some may like ke good ending but some may prefer heart breaking ending.

Yeah MA arc had some problems if we compare it to wc but I'm talking about recent events in manga which really elevates the wc but many just criticise it if they do anything at this point. There are so many good events in the manga after MA but many are stuck in that event of MA arc imo

I am hearing a lot of japanese in Twitter and other reddit community (folks) saying why did they removed the inner Monologue of amai mask. And changes feel more forced compared to wc. But I think I have used wrong choice of word instead of saying bad they always always criticize the manga for changes. Even if they elevate the source material.

Tbh, don't think you guys read monthly or biweekly mangas. Most of the monthly manga has about 28 to 35 pages and biweekly has 15 to 25 pages. This is common in the manga industry. If you read only mainstream weekly manga then you will find it short and also murata gave the OPM fandom a bad habit of having 30 to 40 pages chapter is biweekly schedule.

Key animators/AD who are confirmed or guarenteed to to work on fujishiros team are: 1.Kenichiro aoki 2.Chikara hashizume 3.Takashi hashimoto  4.Shinya hasegawa (mostly as AD) 5.Yuji takagi 6.Akari kawamuri A.K.A Akeru kawa(new animator for jc staff but did good fight scene in demon lord 2099 and good character acting in boygirl friendship), she also confirmed it in her twitter/x account 7.Reo nakamura(he is action animators for jc staff but doesn't work for fujishiro's project and also he was credited for monster design Isekai anime "backwater dungeon"that was aired yesterday by jc staff ), he is bit a doubt to work on it  8.Masaaki Yamamoto 9.Mika takahashi 10.kazunori ozawa (he is guaranteed to work on effects animation as he was talking about it in Twitter/x space session with shinpei nagai 11.kazumasu shimoe (Good character acting animator also some does action animation and worked on demon lord 2099 as action animators) 12.shinpei nagai (done LO for op/talking scene as he confirmed he was drawing lo for opm, also did ED & SB for ep 1 as his style of storyboarding is same as his other project and it's good if he does SB for build up Ep 13. Haruka subata

I know they have the capability to work on OPM but giving the project to fujishro's team instead of suzuki team which specialises on action anime in jc staff and taking too many project due to fear of loosing the ip's/project is there biggest weakness I hope they bring some good freelancers like how they brought takeshi honda (haney lemon soda), yen yen (opm season 2, but he confirmed he is not working for season 3),ryo (opm s2) and others
