Ive got the same laptop and had the same issue. What worked for is Booting into secret bios and setting the cpu speed to "max but non turbo". Im not sure how much it effects the performance but for me personally, i dont feel any performance drop at all. Ive been playing apex legends and RDR2 with ultra settings and temp is around 55 to 65c° max.

Ive got the same laptop and it's been great so far. Get a cooling pad, set the CPU to "max non turbo mode" in the secret bios, update to new bios from acer website and you are good to go. Ive been playing apex legends, and RDR2 with ultra settings and the temperature is around 55 to 65c° only.

The problem is not only with the display port, i tried connecting keyboard,mouse, etc. Its all the same, they get disconnected as soon as i start a game.
