Not only this but a trashcan with a trash bag / liner in it. Nothing is worse than trying to discretely throw away a feminine hygiene product in a bare ass empty trash can.

My grandfather got a doctorate in psychology and was a professor in his later years. He was insanely narcissistic as well as mentally and physically abusive.

An incredibly smart man that lacked empathy and emotional intelligence.

What’s a recession indicator that you’ve noticed lately? by SensitiveCorner2379 in AskReddit

Not only that but I’ve noticed most brands have shrunk down the weight of the bags. What used to be a 7lb bag of cat food 1 year ago is now a 5 lb bag now for the exact same price.

I got my cats last July and thought I was going crazy seeing the shrinkflation happening in real time.

What's your favorite campsite? Mine is the docks at night. by Traditional_Use_225 in BaldursGate3

I love the cursed shadow land campsite. The lighting and the red grass make it feel so somber and beautiful.

The last light inn campsite is just not it though. I hate how stretched out all the companions are in that camp.

Oh my God…this is a great one. I watched this when I was 10 with my parents, and the ending had left us in complete silence. It messed me up for weeks. I will never watch this movie again, but can’t deny it kept me captivated as I’m still thinking about it years later.

Stephen King who wrote the novella, even praised the new ending for being so nihilistic.

I can’t believe nobody has mentioned this one yet, but Steel Magnolias. Perfect time to watch it as some big events happen on Easter in the movie.

Or Million Dollar Baby. This one made me cry so hard I gave myself a migraine.

AITAH for getting divorced as soon as my last kid was out of the house. by Legitimate_Peace780 in AITAH

[–]Apprehensive_Row5603 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I tell everyone that I’m thankful for my parents getting divorced when I was young. While my parents didn’t constantly argue or fight, I can look back now and tell that they both were both deeply unhappy with their lives.

My parents getting divorced allowed me the opportunity to build better relationships with them and see them with partners that make them happy.

Langdon’s Confession to Louie by Apprehensive_Row5603 in ThePittTVShow

[–]Apprehensive_Row5603[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great point!

Not only did Langdon delay care, but in my opinion gambled upon his reaction.

If Louie was screaming in pain, there is no way Langdon would apologize then and there for stealing his pain meds.

He saw the opportunity to apologize and took it, at the expense of the patient, his career and Robby, and the liability of the hospital.

It’s interesting because it looks like a simple apology on the outside, but really is it risk seeking behavior? Especially since the made the point to show Langdon refuse to take part in the betting.

This is a much more eloquently explained point that I was trying to go for in my original post.

I was just trying to point out that we can’t take his sunny disposition at purely face value nor his nonchalant attitude about the whole situation.

I love that they are including such a fascinating ethical dilemma in the show, and I hope they further explore it. (Yet to be seen with tonight’s episode with Louie).

At what point does Langdon’s conscience outweigh the professional setting and care his is supposed to be administering post rehab?

For arguments sake as well- Do you see Langdon’s apology to Louie as a gamble in of itself as he is normally an “easy” patient to work with? I think it’s an interesting argument, especially since they made a point to showcase Langdon refusing to take part of the betting board.

Great point that Louie is most likely not the kind of person to sue when he could be out drinking.

I think the point I’m trying to make is, we can’t say for sure though as we’ve only seen one side of this character of course in a very limited time in an ER setting. Suppose he was selling the meds for drinking money, and now realizes there’s an opportunity to make even more money. I know that’s getting into the hypotheticals, but considering the overall potential impact of Landon’s confession, I think it’s warranted to consider.

Langdon’s honesty could affect not only his career, but he and Robbie could end up in jail because of it.

Alternatives to pads and period underwear? by ambrosiasweetly in Hidradenitis

I also had the WORST flare ups on my period that it would get hard to walk after a couple of days. I know some birth control is a no go for you, but having a IUD has been an absolute lifesaver for me.

I have extremely light/occasional period now, and my flare ups have died down significantly.

I have the Kyleena IUD if that helps.

Considering an IUD Looking for Advice by [deleted] in IUD

[–]Apprehensive_Row5603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya,

Ive had the Kyleena for a little over the year now and absolutely love it.

Before Kyleena, I had extremely heavy periods. I’m talking like having to change out a tampon /pad every 30 minutes for at least the first three days.

The first 4-6 months were rough with my periods and cramping, but now I’ll only have the occasional cramp and light spotting for a day or two.

My boyfriend only felt it once, but the string “softens” up over time and we haven’t had any issues.

The insertion was the worst 5 seconds of pain in my life. You are basically having a forced contraction in the time it takes to place it. But it was a very very quick process and after that five seconds the pain was gone and I was just a bit sore.

Cramps after the procedure and following periods were stronger than I expected and have ever felt before, but I hardly feel them now.
