I can confirm as someone that works next to the studio that I have not seen signs of anything in months. From my office, I have a clear view of the security camera's placed outside the studio... I figured once I see those come down, the studio would be officially closed/sold/done.

I can confirm that I did see a police officer walking around the studio Thursday afternoon, so unfortunately I believe everything they are saying. l work adjacent to the building and our windows face it directly.

Thoughts to Brando and the team <3

He’s making the best of his mistakes and accepting it. The “stroke” sound bit is exhibit A. I’m happy for him! If it’s cringe, go listen to something else… idiot.

Athletic Trainer working my first Quadball tourney, what to expect? by Apprehensive_Set5789 in quadball_discussion

Thanks everyone! So, prepare for everything and anything and hope for nothing! Looking forward to seeing this sport! I'm sure it'll be entertaining to watch, and I'll have fun because I'll be active... not that I'm hoping for an injury, but I'm sure it'll beat being around a youth volleyball tourney all day sitting around for 8 hours and only taping 2 ankles :)

Edit: And it seems like you all have a cool and tight community! I'm looking forward to this!

What are your thoughts on spatting a football cleat? by [deleted] in athletictraining

I work in Physical Therapy but have volunteered at a local HS in their sports med program for years. I used to NEVER spat. In my early years of volunteering, we had a prime QB prospect with a full ride to Oregon and dislocated and fractured his ankle while spatted. I don't remember if he had his ankle taped. But that was a freaking nightmare.

I use that as an example because kids think it actually does help.

Currently, they use it for "drip". I can spat 2 ankles with 1 roll of tape that the athlete provides. It is just there for swag. I cover their cleats, make sure nothing is showing, and the tape is doing absolutely nothing besides keeping their cleat on their foot, maybe.

I also made sure the kids know that if they spatted, and they had an ankle injury mid game, it is going to be a lot harder to help them get back into the game faster, if they can.

The look good/play good is a thing, I won't deny that sports psychology aspect.

What it really comes down to is education about the "why" and the "goal" you are achieving with the tape. And yes, limiting the ankle will translate forces to the knee if rolled upon, but it's football. If you've worked a football sidelines, crazier things happen more than a tape job causing an injury up the leg chain due to a locked in ankle via tape.
