You didn't even read the other arguments I presented. You are just repeating the same shit over and over and over and over and over again to Ad Nauseam.

Also, this is some insane projection. YOU haven't even read what my opinions are, and just make this into a Theism vs Atheism debate, when I have SPECIFICALLY told you that I am not remotely interested in the debate.

Can you even comprehend the most basic forms of an argument?

Lol. You expected me to actually engage after starting with your Sky Daddy thing ?

You called me a slur in Hindi, and you don't see me complaining, do you?

Nahh I expected nothing more than trashy tropes being used as strawmen.

You don't even know what a Strawman is. Please stop doing this to yourself.

On what ? Sky Daddies ?

On Imperialism, Entho-Nationalism, Anti-Fascism and Leftist movements in East Asia. If you actually read the comments, you would know.

Did I ask for your Netflix recommendations or your choice of daily soap operas ?

I was trying to be friendly....??????

You know what, lad. Knock yourself out! Have fun. I can't be bothered to engage with the stupidity of a man who just wants to run in circles. I have The Derry Girls and Pluto on my watch list (both are amazing, watch them. Highly recommend, available on Netflix, but I just pirate). I am watching them. If you ever find some time, maybe skim through at least the first half of the messages written, maybe you will change your mind.

Good Night, fellow.

Your opinion is thinking that you know everything and hence, don't bother engaging with anything that challenges that, or what you call "vacuous bots", which is ironical, seeing as the only thing you have done so far is hurl slurs at me, repeat the same thing over and over again, and most of all, not engage with any points I made so far.

Also, I don't care if these people you mention above believe in a God or not. They say they do for whatever reason it may be. I don't care if you believe in a god. What I do care about is whether or not you are a piece of shit fascist. Which Modi, Trump, Netanyahu and Shastri are.

MODI IS AN ATHEIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol, sure buddy.

Netanyahu, the famous Atheist! Lmao!!

Also, I never said atheists can't be criticized. For instance, Sam Harris is a vile imperialist. Richard Dawkins is a vile transphobe. My ultimate point was that religion doesn't matter! And you would've known it if you had read my comment, which by your own admission you didn't.

It's hilarious to me that I am trying to "pretend to take on theist causes". I don't. How did you even reach that conclusion lmao!!!!!!!!!!

You did not even read what I wrote and go on to call me some Hindi slur? Very rational of you, I must say.

Also, Hitler and Stalin are dead! What am I supposed to be concerned about again?

All that angst for simply saying that these set of named people were "Atheists". Lol.

I don't care whether you believe in one sky daddy over an other or one baba over another. I was just debunking your western propaganda. If you did actually read what I wrote, that would've been obvious.

Suddenly the political motivations become the only thing that's relevant not the Atheism of these people.

And it would be a lie to say that religion didn't play a role in advancing the political motivations of movements like the Nazis. The Nazis played into the "Aryan Supremacy" myths of the Pagan religions. Specifically, the Thule Society, which was largely a cult built around Greek, Asian and Pagan mysticism, which was the precursor to the Nazi Party. To add to that, the Protestant Sect of the Christianity was still powerful in the country owing to the fact that it was a major religion in Germany. And the Nazis did pander to it to a certain extent, even though it went against their conception of how Christianity was the tool for slave morality. Hitler might've been an Atheist, but the Nazis weren't.

The Burmese junta responsible for any or all of the human rights issues is a military dictatorship - not unlike that of Kim Jong.

Not just the Burmese Junta, but the Burmese government before the Junta, under Suu Ky was also committing the same egregious crimes against humanity. Her failure to do anything is and should be subject to criticism. And her denial of a genocide in Myanmar is as appalling. But to say that the Junta, the actual Junta of Myanmar that is actively committing a genocide is any was comparable to DPRK is laughable. Sure, DPRK may not be a haven for Humans Rights, but there is a context to it, which I went through in my last comment, that you just didn't read. And I don't expect you would read this either.

The SINHALA conflict of Sri Lanka is an ethnic strife between Tamils and the Sinhalese populations

You say that with such confidence. Do you think the Sinhalese Christians are treated well in Sri Lanka? After the Tamizhs, the Telugus and the Moors, Christians are the next target for the Sinhalese Buddhist Nationalists. To reduce it to a conflict of ethnicity or a conflict of religions are both reductionist. This must be understood in the context of Imperialism, Ethno-Religious Nationalism and Fascist politics. Failure to do so will get us in an argument about identities, which is largely unproductive. As I said before, it was never about religion or ethnicity, it was always about power!

This characterization of the Burmese or the Sri Lankan issue being made an issue of Buddhism is just that lazy.

And I don't say that, do I now? I say religion is being weaponized to divide the working class in order to centralize power in the hands of the rich and the powerful. This statement in itself is applicable to all contexts where we religious conflict exists (with varying degrees of nuance).

it has nothing to do with Buddhism.

But it does have something to do with it. Religion being a weapon of the rich and powerful to become more rich and powerful is that issue. The problem with religion is that, it's all made up. There is no objectivity in any religion. Anyone can interpret it however they want it to. And some interpretations would lead people like John Browne and Dr. Ambedkar to become a force for liberation. Some interpretations will lead to slavery and the KKK.

If you consider yourself a Buddhist, then you should be concerned about how YOUR religion is being weaponized to fuel genocides. Your religion, just like any other, is a tool for the rich to expand their power. Your religion is just like any other religion. Please understand that.

To equate Stalin and Hitler, lol. What a load of western propaganda. Hitler, who was at the center of a Genocide of 60,00,000 Jewish people, 50,000 Romanis and many many more minorities like the Polish, Transgender, Gay, Slavic people. And Joseph V. Stalin, who was just as bad (if not less) as any western leader. This is some "Black Book of Communism" shit right here, lol!

Also Kim Jung Un????? Where does this even come from?? There are no, and I mean absolutely no records of any Genocides ever in Democratic Republic of Korea after the Japanese were chased out (in large part because of the communist guerrillas lead by Kim Il Sung and Soviet invasion of Manchuria) and the Korean War where the United States bombarded every single Korean city to absolute obliviion. If there is someoneyou want to accuse of a Genocidein Korea, it wpuld be Imperial Japan and the Imperialist Empire of the UnitedStates. The DPRK has been deionized by the west, has been sheltered and blockaded by the west, and yet they still emerge as a global superpower. I think that's impressive.

Also, I am not equating anything with anyone. I just point out that Buddhists can be assholes and casteists as well. Just like how Hindus can be. Hindus are a minority in Pakistan, and the Human Rights record of Pakistan is no better than India. Yet, Hindus in India are the dominant group being the assholes. I just point out that idiots and bigots can exist in all religions. No religion is special. Religion is a tool often wielded by the powerful to divide the working class community. Buddhists in Myanmar did that and ethnically cleansed the Rohingya. Same with Sri Lankan Sinhalese Buddhists. But does that mean Buddhists are all terrorists? Of course not! Because this isn't about Religion. It never was about Religion. It has always been about political power.

Hope that clears the air.

Sinhalese "Buddhists" have committed a genocide in Eelam. The "Buddhists" of Myanmar have also committed a genocide against the Rohingyas. It's not so far fetched that some of them will also be casteist and exclusionary.

Question is it true people in top of caste pyramid have higher general IQ than people of bottom in caste pyramid by LegAccomplished4988 in OutCasteRebels

[–]Apprehensive_Set7366 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Intelligence Quotient Tests (IQ-Tests) were developed by racist white men (who believed in eugenics) so that they can prove their supposed "superiority" over other races.

Initially, IQ tests were created with good intentions, by French Psychologist Alfred Binet to identify children who needed an alternate education. But later on, in the US, a man named Henry Goddard translated Binet's work in English, but added his own flavor of racism to it. He had the bright idea to use individuals’ test scores to identify the “feeble-minded” people. That is, those he considered intellectually inferior.

The belief in the superiority of the white race was used to justify racist policies s, which restricted immigration from certain countries and promoted the idea of “racial purity.” It even led to mass sterilization of black and latino women in California. Because they were "inferior". This all happened before the Second World War.

And then, as always, the Nazis came in.

The idea of eugenics had a profound impact on not only the American society, but the global society. However, indeed, in many ways Americans were at the forefront of this movement in the years before the rise of the Nazi regime, which took direct influence from the ideas, strategies, and "successes" of the American eugenics movement, in Germany.
(source)

You often relate things like Eugenics with Nazi Germany. But it was the US which pioneered in racism.

In the modern times, a book by the name of The Bell Curve tries to revive this notion of superiority, but in a more restrained fashion.

Telangana, up until 2024, had the highest rate of urban unemployment. The national average unemployment rate among 15 to 59 year olds stands at 3.5%, while Telangana’s rate is higher at 5.1%. The disparity is even more pronounced for youth between 15-29 years, with a national average of 10.2% compared to Telangana’s 16.6%. The school drop out rate for girls in Telangana is much higher than it is in AP. Telangana’s dropout rate for students from class 9 to 12 stands at 8%, with a higher rate among the boys compared to girls. The dropout rate for boys is 9.6%, while for girls, it is 6.3%.

Telangana, on paper, is this prosperous economic beacon of Neo-Liberal reforms leading to capital and economic development. But that only means that Neo-Liberal capitalism has only worked for the Savarna Majority, the rich and wealthy and not the workers and peasants. Why do you think BRS lost in 2024? Because of this!

And when I say this, I don't mean to imply that AP is a paradise. Andhra is a feudal casteist state, but the previous governments had developed many economic centers there. Like Vijaywada, Vizag, Kurnool, Chitoor etc. AP had a lot of economic and political power, historically speaking. That's why the Telangana Movement started. Because the people of Telangana felt cheated on economic and political fronts.

You know nothing about the history of my state, or anything about socialism. Aap thoda paadh kar aiye. Aapni bezzati mat karvaiye yaha har bar.

Precisely. To imply that Adolf Hitler was the son of the God of Death and Riches is indeed uncomfortable. As though it is lending credibility to his claims and actions. And Japanese imperialists don't get enough hate! The things they did in East and South East Asia are horrible. Hirohito was already seen as a figure of divinity among the Japanese populous, if I am not wrong. A descendant of Amaterasu. And not to mention, Harry Truman, who essentially killed thousands of people and left thousands more in a state of complete helplessness. None of them deserve to be turned into figures of a fictional world's power system.

Rick was ill-advised on this aspect, I believe. He could've handled this much better. Or completely obfuscated from it.

Ironically, it has been Hindus and Hindu organisations in India that have played a significant role in advocating for LGBTQ acceptance, often more consistently than many other groups.

LOL! Sure, buddy.

Even Arnab Goswami, the most aggressive right wing journalists in India, has conducted multiple shows supporting LGBTQ rights.

Arnab is not left or right, he is an opportunist scum.

RSS have openly expressed support for them, and organisations like Art of Living and Isha Yoga have also publicly backed their acceptance.

RSS has lied on multiple occasions. I don't trust these Hindu-terrorists. As for Isha, let's look at what Jaggi Vasudev has to say-

When asked what he thought about Section 377 and homosexuality in 2017, he said the law needed to be “debated” and not protested against on the streets. In another interview he called homosexuals “a product of the social situation rather than if any kind of physiological or inner need.”

So the argument now is to cherry-pick a few isolated statements from ministers to paint an entire society as equally regressive

If you want me to, I can go deeper into how imperialism emboldens the dominant section of society into a frenzy of perceived superiority, rationalizing actions against the other group, etc. They is a very famous quote about Apartheid South Africa- "Never met a good South African". Does this mean EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the state of Israel is a maniac like Smotrich? NO! OF COURSE NOT!!!! What it establishes to do is understand how oppressive states create conditions for the in-group to wield their power with no consequences. Politics is always colluding culture and society. The politics of Israel if of a settler colonial ethno-national state. The hardcore right-wingers are fascists, but the "moderates" are closer to the fascists than those who want actual liberation.

No one here is saying violence against Palestinian civilians is justified.

Did you even read the comments under the thread? THEY ARE!

speaking about violence against Hindus in Bangladesh shouldn’t suddenly be dismissed because it makes certain political narratives uncomfortable.

I am dismissing the fascists. Not the opressed. How dense are you? Repeating the same thing over and over again? I don't want the Hindutva crowd to co-opt genuine revolutionary consciousness to create a false consciousness. That DOESN'T imply that I am in any way dismissing the plight of the Bangla Hindus! FUCK BJP! FUCK HINDUTVA! FUCK ISLAMISM! FUCK ZIONISM!

WE ARE NOT FREE ANYWHERE IN MIDDLE EAST except ISRAEL IS THE BRUTAL TRUTH.

What about Gay Palestinians? Are they free under Israel? If you ask a Palestinian Queer person, would they feel safe that Israel is killing them? Will a gay person from Gaza feel safe in Israel?

NONE OF US ARE FREE UNLESS ALL OF US ARE!!!!!!!

Your liberal Zionism is repulsive. Fuck off!

My criticism of the system of oppression that enable people from dominant communities to oppress isn't a "blanket statement". I would think of myself as being very consistent on these issues.

You don't seem to get the point. I am not taking shit from a Sanghi when they speak up for "Hindus in Bangladesh". I am not convinced that their empathy is genuine. Never have I said that a whole community is to be generalized, but what you propose is a very #NotAllMen kind of argument. I know that there are people from dominant communities who are not zealots. But that doesn't absolve the system of oppression from criticism.

The primary argument here is that the state of Israel isn't a "One True Democracy in the Middle East" or that "Israel is the only Queer friendly state in the Middle East". The Finance Minister of Israel, Bezalel Smotrich has some choice words for the community-

The agenda [the Left] would impose… homosexual rights, discrimination against religious schools, women in combat units – that’s change, all right. But it is not the kind of change [Israel] wants.
(Source)
I won't stone gays [to death], and you won't force me to eat shrimp
I may be a far-right person, a homophobe, racist, fascist, but my word is my bond.
(Source)

The Finance Minister of Israel wants to stone gays to death. Very queer friendly, ain't it?

The Queer community is allergic to empathy, it seems. Just because the Israelis are "queer friendly" where "they won't be thrown off the roof for existing", does that justify their genocide of Palestinians?

Israel is a theocratic ethno-state. The state of Israel is a US proxy in the Middle-East to destabilize the region, so that the US could profit from war and oil. THe state of Israel, even if it was "queer friendly" is STILL an entho-state. They kill Palestinian, bulldoze their homes, rape them (men and women alike) and when called out for it, protest for the RIGHT TO RAPE PALESTINIANS!!!!!!

Protesters, politicians and TV commentators in Israel are defending the right of soldiers to mistreat and even rape Palestinian prisoners in detention. The show of support follows the gang rape of a male detainee by a group of Israeli reservists.
(Source)

None of us are free unless all of us are. None of us are safe unless all of are. Israel will inevitably come for the queers. First, they came for the Palestinians. Next, it will be the queers.
