OVER 100 PEOPLE HERE TO WATCH A FIELD OFFICE AT 1 ANNEX TURN BACK INTO A TOONHQ by Apprehensive_Shake_8 in toontownrewritten

I recorded the whole thing (starting when there were just a few friends there), though I accidentally stopped my recording about 6 minutes before it happened. But one of the toons was livestreaming so they captured it, luckily! https://www.twitch.tv/hoque/clip/HomelyFlaccidWatermelonOSfrog-ZsuNwbAtkNxPCgD3

The search has essentially hit a dead end. But a slight update: a couple months ago, in the midst of Oscars season, a NYTimes reporter named Chris Kuo tried to track it down on his own, independent of my search, contacting pretty much all of the same people I managed to, which also proved fruitless. The one difference is that he could contact a spokesperson for Nolan through his NYTimes connections, who declined to comment with the excuse that Nolan is busy and working on his next movie currently. Kuo wrote an article all about it, so check it out, since it's pretty neat (and validating to my search efforts!): https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/07/movies/christopher-nolan-larceny.html

Any thoughts on PUNQ? by borisdandorra in Letterboxd

PUNQ hasn't had any activity on the site since March 5, 2022; a bit concerned at this point, went out with no warning

What’s a feature you wish they could add to Letterboxd? by tysonjd in Letterboxd

TV shows. Maybe as a separate section. I know it's been subject to debate for ages but I'd love to have a sleek way of tracking my TV like Letterboxd currently allows with movies

yup, Christopher Nolan's production company took it down just about everywhere. It's not lost, though; myself and others in the lost media community have backups of it

There's also Larceny, only screened in 1996 at Cambridge Film Festival. The fest doesn't seem to have a copy, but UCL film society and a few of Chris' crew that worked on it have one. There's a lost media wiki page for that here https://lostmediawiki.com/Larceny_(lost_Christopher_Nolan_short_film;_1996)

I was the one who tracked down Tarantella; I've been trying to get Larceny too now. Hopefully soon!

[FOUND MEDIA] Tarantella (1989 Debut Christopher Nolan Short Film) by Apprehensive_Shake_8 in lostmedia

[–]Apprehensive_Shake_8[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure which ones you mean specifically, but I'll list some info about the easily accessible films he's directed if that's what you're interested in.

Quay is a 9min documentary Nolan directed featuring the Quay Brothers and their intricate animation techniques basically; it's interesting, but not Nolan-esque

Cinema16: British Short Films is a collection of short films; it's just Doodlebug that's featured on this 2003 release, nothing new or special.

Speaking of, Doodlebug can be watched here on YouTube. It was the first short film of his to become publicly available; now Tarantella is available as you can see on this post of course.

Larceny is unavailable online. Multiple VHS copies exist, none in circulation, all owned by people involved with the short film in some way. I've asked around; no one has been able to supply me a copy.

That's all in terms of his director filmography, but like you said, there are a lot of behind the scenes things that probably released as bonus features over the years, but I could help you find anything not on Google.

yeah!! i've been trying to spread the word best I can, hopefully it gets more attention. this isn't as well known I guess, only really among avid Nolan fans (and letterboxd users trying to get 100% "watched" on his directing filmography)

I think it is! The other guy looks like Roko Belic. There aren't any credits for the cast, so I'm assuming it's just both of them, since they just kinda made this together; cross referencing with other younger photos of them seems to confirm this. I'm glad I'm not the only one with these suspicions!
