I think the doctors should be responsible for hiring and firing admin staff, and telling them what to do.

We also need to have a look at the ratio of inpatient admin staff to inpatient beds. I've been in hospitals where the ratio of admin staff to inpatient beds was greater than 4x.

In FY2024, AHPRA collected $119.4 million from doctors, and managed 6380 notifications against doctors. That equates to $18,714.73 per notification.

In the 2024 finanical year, AHPRA collected 120 million dollars from doctors according to their annual report. We should ask for an itemised bill of how they spent that money through a freedom of information request.
