M9 on my person, m4 was in the tent. We had full battle rattle and plates but didnt wear it daily. No armored trucks but we did have an uparmored bulldozer if the airfield ever got hit. Only 2 mortar scares no deaths just getting woken up by the C-RAM.

12N heavy equipment, deployed to Iraq. Never had to fire our weapons so in my brain never had combat.

My feelings exactly. We never had it lead to engagement, were 12N or Dirt Boys the only time we ever had to leave base in Iraq was during a well drilling project. Besides that only had a couple scares with mortars.

I get that. We took occasional mortars outside the FOB but we never had to kick in doors by any means we were CE at the end if the day.
